Kosterina specializes in high antioxidant early harvest extra virgin olive oil from Southern Greece. Their oil is 100% koroneiki olives and harvested early in order to maximize polyphenol content. This year’s Kosterina harvest registered 470 mg/kg of polyphenol content. You need to have a polyphenol content of 55 mg/kg to be deemed extra virgin (and most grocery store oils don’t even get that high). Kosterina have 9x the antioxidant content of the average grocery store olive oil. Kosterina offers an Original Extra Virgin Olive Oil and 2 flavored olive oils: Greek Herb & Lemon and Garlic. All are made with their Original EVOO and infused with a hint of herb, lemon, or garlic oils native to the Mediterranean. My favorite was the Greek Herb which was perfect on every dish I cooked.
