THERE IS NOTHING MORE PHYSICALLY DRAING THAN BOXING , HOW THESE FIGHTERS CAN LAST SO LONG WITHOUT COLLAPSING INTO EXHAUSTION SHOWS THE DETRMINATION AND STAMINA OF A BOXER .
Perfect guy for Tzsyu to fight at this early point in pro career. Tough. Right decision but scorecards were way off. I thought was much closer. RIP Hector Lopez.
Lopez was too tuff an opponent for Tszyu at that stage of his career. Tszyu went on to show how good a fighter he really was, but he almost did not get past Hector
Can someone please explain to me why every time a US boxer loses a fight, the biased commentary in America claim it’s a controversial decision ??? Tszyu danced around Lopez for 10 rounds and used him for target practice. Lopez was brave and durable but certainly not in the same league as Tszyu. Good decision and an entertaining fight. 🥊🥊🥊🥊👍🏼
Let me explain, you did not see the fight if you think this was a sparring (practice) match. Johnny Lewis was pleading for his fighter in the last round, his wife was on the verge of tears seeing how much damage Tszyu was absorbing. One of Tszyu's most difficult fights without a doubt, and remember this was not a prime Lopez. RIP Hector
Listening to the BS coming out of O'Grady's mouth just made me want to stuff a dirty sock in it. Don't have a clue what fight he and his sidekick were watching.
The thing is that Lopez did NOT win it any way.................yes it was prob a lot closer than the scores..but do you think the judges cheated? All of them?
One of the fighters to actually push Kostya around the ring... and make Kostya back up on footwork before an exchange, sign that he was as much the predator here. Some great exchanges... Need to look up more Lopez fights.
I say we all know who the champ is here, KT… and yet he looked a little sluggish and would have dominated this fight in a bigger way. Kosta looked like jet lag tied. He is a true champion.
После этого боя Костя осознал разницу между любительским боксом и профессиональным, и какая нужна подготовка, на то он и называется, профессиональный бокс.
Tzyu- 1,2,3,8,9 Lopez-4,5,6,7,10 In the 4th round which is Lopez Comeback in this fight Tzu is already tired and clinching trying to get his breath and Lopez Took advantage of that winning 4th-7th, Tzu comes back in the 8th and 9th but in round 9 you can clearly see Tzyu is frustrated in wanting to score a knockdown that he pulls Lopez head down to the canvas to entice the ref into calling it a knockdown even goes to the neutral corner he pulls the round nevertheless but Lopez ends the show in the 10th with Tzu pretty Tired and Battered. This fight could have easily been a Draw or SD for either fighter but UD not for either Lopez or Tyzu who both seem it to have been mauling each other with rabbit punches when they were in a clinch. But nevertheless an entertaining fight from both fighters
Remember watching this at the pub. Good test for a young KT. HL was a good fighter and gave Kostya a tuff fight as you'd expect. KT won 6 rounds imo. It was close, certainly not a shut out. You hear the ergency in Jonny Lewis going into the last round. Cheers
Kostya was a talent, to bad he didn’t get picked up by a good US trainer . If he was trained and managed we would have seen a better fighter. His corner ? His manager?…l good thing he had natural ability, cause they sure did fuck all for him, putting him against Lopez was BS for both of them. Neither one made any money, latter on they should have both made 10x what they got for this fight. I want to see both fighters make a ton of Money for the shit they do.
One of those fights a guy needs on his path to greatness, BUT I don't get what Sean O'Grady is seeing, b/c he had it 4-4-1 going into the 10th............I have this a hard fought 8-2 (I gave Lopez 4 and 6) win for Tszyu. Lopez did a great job, but no way could you give him more than 2 rounds.
4:10 It was very popular in those years to talk stupid shit about Russia and Russians. People talked that way look like idiots for the Russians. Unfortunately time has changed nothing.
