You can get interest on monthly, quarterly or at maturity.

If we do FD of 1,00,000 for a year, then as per your calculation general citizen will get 1,04,835₹ for on year FD return but as per the actual calculation 1,00,000×4.75÷100 one will get 1,04,750₹. Can you please explain? Also can you please explain maturity amount for 6 months.

Yes you are right but in banks calculation is not done according to simple interest but in banks calculation is done on quarterly compound basis so that amount is more than simple interest.
