Alias is ok with the words and that's it. There's sooo much more to being a rapper than taking a format that was created over a decade ago and adding your own words. Bobby Rex isn't technical but he's funny, has charisma, great delivery and is just an all round man's man. Alias is Ok but he doesn't have the star quality of Bobby.

Alias got the 1st and Rex got the 2nd. 2 totally different tones in the 3rd so the viewers preference is going to determine the winner. I liked Alias rapid fire delivery and how he interwove his schemes throughout. Pays off on repeat viewings. Rex has a presence about him that I bet was even more palpable in the building. He’s got the crowd in his hands throughout the whole battle. Alias strategy is to rap incredibly intricately and if the crowd misses something, it’s ok they catch it on the next viewing. Whereas every line from Rex was “in the moment”, you get it right now, you react right now. Interesting style clash and I think it paid off giving this battle tons of replay value.

That battle was fire. Alias had some great bars that i thought should have got more reaction/recognition, i've never seen him before so i was really impressed. Bobby rex was comical and his delivery was good. 2 different styles but they matched up very well. Tough to choose a winner: round 1 bobby, round 2 (i honestly can't call), round 3 alias. I'd edge it slightly for alias overall just because i think he didn't get the reaction that was warrented for some of his bars and that may have swayed it more in his favour if he did.
