Respectfully, Rum and JC were who they were before Gotti. JC was literally the first person to go on the road and make money off battle rap on the road weekly on small leagues. A lot of small leagues first "big names" were Daylyt and JC. They paid Daylyt for the likelihood of him doing something viral and silly to get them attention. They paid JC because he was at an affordable premium and would still put on classic performances. This is way before DNA and Clips started doing it in 2015/16. If you remember, DNA and Clips would be providing half-ass performances (and the reason why Clips ruined his legacy to some degree due to half assing performances). But JC was doing this across all stages with A1 material and performances. Respectfully, the man already had classic battles and was already on his way to HOF before he linked up with Gotti. And if you remember. there's an interview you can see where it is Rum who walks by whilst JC is being interviewed and just goes "he's EFB too". That was it.

I just think Gotti showed them how to really work the business side of battle rap. I agree 100% they were both fire before that. JC is my GOAT. They just had the bars though they didn’t get the paper the same. Rum has started doing promo and showing way more personality and JC is doing big battles again not just little league to little league. I just think it’s helped them elevate and I’m here for it.
