For some reason I always think Caustic is gonna suck but he always says real shit, makes it funny, freestyles and rebuttals. Caustic killed Verb

Some of you "street battle" fans are SO devoted toward your style of battling that you're willing to say Verb won this??? they both had limited time to prepare & caustic was still able to freestyle with limited writtens, technically making him more of an all-round battler than verb. oh wait, "VERB HAD 'BARS' & CAUSTIC HAD JOKES, SO VERB WINS"...fuck outta here. this bars vs jokes shit in battling is as subjective as democrats vs republicans; as far as this event goes, no one gives a fuck what side you're on, as long as whatever side you work with gets the job done; and from the looks of it, verb's bars were nice, but involved 1) shit he had prepped for shotty and 2) couldn't survive long enough to be put in the 3rd. Caustic was able to entertain with the jokes just as much as bars would entertain a URL crowd. 2-1, by-a-hair, however you wanna break it down, caustic took it.

Caustic KILLED Verb, anyone who doesn't think so are the same people on Shuffle T/ Marlo battles like "these two are everything wrong about rap" SMH rap isn't about race... Shotty didn't show up against Aye Verb so Caustic replaced him to catch a body, Shotty didn't show up against Arsonal and Caustic showed up to catch another body. It seems that these dudes are better off facing Shotty, because Caustic ends up killing them far worse.

Anyone who says Aye Verb won clearly has brain damage or is biased (likely a black URL fan, to be frank). I believe in bars over jokes any day of the week, but when you choke and tear up for a complete round and use material for another opponent, YOU LOST. Aye Verb is a dope battler, and Caustic ain't that nice by any means, but Verb lost, very clearly.

It's one thing to have a rebuttal or freestyle here and there and go a little over but it went way overboard. Hard to judge a battle when the length of their rounds are so different. Aye Verb's choke and Caustic fucking with the time ruined this battle. If I were Aye Verb I'd be pissed as well.

This is why the ability to freestyle (or at least write very quickly and spontaneously) is so crucial to being a good performer. You can't always get the east coast smack treatment where you know you're battler months ahead of time - that's just not realistic anymore. Caustic and illmac are still the fastest writers in the game so they win battles like these.

How was the second round about shotty

I feel this is a 1-1-1 Tie. Verb took the 1st, Caustic took the 3rd....and really the 2nd round is your preference. Clearly Verb was using Bars for Shotty but it was a lot more structure, polished verse than Caustic's. Caustic had some funny materials, but it never gained any real momentum and he tried to freestyle wayyyy to much for my liking. Really after wathcing Daylyt vs Chilla Jones, I can't give this battle any true judging

Never seen Verb choke before. Way out of character. Verb won rd 1. Second round is hard to judge. Verb's 2nd was kind of short but had the best bar of round 2. Caustic's 2nd was too long and it was all jokes, even though they were hittin. Obviously, Caustic won the 3rd. 1-1-1 tie or 2-1 Verb. I value bars over jokes.

1st off, they both didnt have the prep time, they had a short time limit and verb was the only one to follow that. Round 1 verb won clearly no debating, round,d 2 verb won clearly no debating, round 3 goes to caustic clearly no debating. 2~1verb. Verb was better in this battle, i felt caustic did basically a freestyle friday. Caustic was funny, but basic as basic can be, but he was funny. Verb 1st round was great, his second was good enough to beat caustics freestyle and jokes. As caustic was rapping i was waiting for him to turn up, but he never did, but the jokes kept coming, not enough to beat verb even with only 2 rounds. Very bad for verb not to finish his 3rd, it looked as if he could remember is verse and with the short prep time, its understandable. Caustic rapped past the time in each round and if they would have stopped him on time, he would've had said shit, the extra time benefitted caustic. Verb had more substance and caustic was entertaining.

It's beyond obvious that caustic lost. Those first two rounds were pretty good, but not his best, from verb and average from caustic. A bunch of half funny jokes on a few good punchlines won't win my vote but it may satisfy someone who isn't familiar with battle rap culture.. Maybe verb did choke the last round but where in the judging does it say someone automatically loses because of choking in a round? that's right, it doesn't, hence those who've choked and still won. Everyone wants to think their comprehension level is above avg but truth is everyone can't be as critical of a thinker as they would like to think they are.
