A promising up and comer in the making, Wize Guy is not yet a name that is one the minds of most battle fans, but the Edmonton, Alberta battler is looking to change that moving forward. Known for the most part as a member of the Ground Zero division of King of the Dot, Wize Guy has certainly put in his fair share of time developing his skills in GZ. Having now graduated to the main stage, Wize Guy was recently apart of one Blackout 3's best battles in his match with Soul, proving that he is ready for a higher caliber of contender. Back on the mainstage to take on another challenger, Wize Guy steps up against Uno Lavoz to see if he has what it takes to knock out a heavy hitter.
While still considered a member of one of the newer generations of battlers, Uno Lavoz has already accomplished more during his tenure than most battlers do in their careers. The Philadelphia, PA rapper got his start during the Grindtime days, garnering attention through his outrageous humor and lack of a filter when it comes to battling. Since then, Uno has evolved his style, tightening up his delivery and incorporating more bars into his arsenal. Having traveled to the UK, Australia, and Canada multiple times, Uno is no stranger to tough competition. Making his debut in Calgary, Uno Lavoz takes on Wize Guy in this next release from Quarantine.

Uno Lavoz gets so much shit but he's one of the most entertaining battlers to watch. The reason I prefer KOTD over all other leagues is because Gun bars don't do much so the creativity level has to be high.

There's two ways to approach a rap battle. You can either talk about how hard you are and how you're going to knock out your opponent or kill them, which makes no sense when I've literally NEVER heard of a dude dying after a KOTD or URL battle - or you can clown the fuck out of your opponent. Telling Jokes is a viable way to rap battle and always HAS been, since the 80's and 90's. Both guys had some funny shit, and it was entertaining to watch. I wasn't really feeling wiseguy's 3rd round much at ALL - he just didn't execute it well enough to capitalize on the sarcasm

Uno is creative as fack. I dont understand how you people like the same old "gangster" bars over and over again. Uno has bars and jokes. He mixes them up which is unique not like arsenal and clips, hoffa etc etc. Uno won this easily.

sam jones That orange part had me rolling with laughter. Especially the bit after that. The comedic timing on that was perfect. I have mad love for Charlie Clips, because he didn't just do the thug shit. He faced Oshea and brought the jokes, and did it in an unforgettable way. Props to him.

You need to give your head a shake and think objectively. It comes down to talent and smarts and yes punch lines. Uno had none of that. He just made a bunch of noise. Wize Guy can actually rap. Pat Stay has a similar style to Uno, but can rap much better and he reps Dartmouth where I grew up, but his songs are not that good because he is more a battle rapper than a actually rapper. Props to him though. I don't look at someone and say they win based on the fact that they are cool or I know them. I look at technical ability, and how they flow. Sorry that is a true rapper. Just my thoughts:)

That was the total show there; with the amazing showmanship, the effort and detailed thought that went into this battle from both rappers, I would have a hard time picking a winner from this match. It's been a while since a battle has kept me that enthused for the entire 3 rounds, a favorite of mine I'll be sure to watch many times.

TO KOTD: I would like to thank you for posting the schedule for the battles of BO4 for when they will be dropped but when I saw names listed and not "?????? vs ??????" like how you introduced the battlers. I am trying to go along with not knowing who is battling who until the video is dropped but you are not making it easy by doing this and also posting that Deadman vlog dropping the battles. Im not complaining but Cmon Man

I can't stand Uno Lavoz. Organik needs to givem a real top tier bodybag bar havin opponent to just dismantle him and end his career. If they gave Uno that kind of opponent, Uno would probably have one of the best performances of his life like he did against Johnny Storm. NO ONE predicted Uno to win that battle, but Uno DESTROYED Storm badly! You can hate on Uno all you want, and I can understand why, but you can't deny that he can spit. Wait till his battle wit' Bonnie Godiva comes out, he was dope af in that battle!
