everyone saying same thing about the red bull wololo "empire wars" mode tournaments too. "Viper got more practice in arabia then empire wars so it is okay to lose games." Well they are wrong too i think. Viper's era is ended, sad but true.

That's way too soon to call though. There is difference between somebody winning 1 or 2 tournaments and somebody dominating the tournament scene for 10 years or something. Viper is still the best player by wide margin.

Not entirely, he just played the very same strategy every game, basically trying to win with Cav. Early Scouts, then into Knights/camels/light cav and with a bit of siege and monks. And Yoo countered it every game with spears. Not sure whats wrong with Vipey in his personal life, but something is affecting him playing not as good as we are used from him. I don't think it's him getting older.

Laming doesn't work against top players. Viper lost the first game mainly because of it. Viper didn't play the same after trailing 1-0 and then 2-0.

@@antoinebernier457 first of all, laming totally works. Just watch the most recent lierry vs Hera, lierry was lamed to the ground. Second, I think this isn’t true even if laming was a bad strategy. What does that have to do with unit composition? You see the enemy massing pikes and monks and viper repeatedly just masses knights even more. In the first game ok but why do it again in the third if he lost so hard with the same strategy? “I failed at laming so I’m just gonna keep making the same unit even though he counter it” what kind of logic is that?

@@priesten2763 Hera lamed Liereyy in 1st game, right, but he did not scout his own sheeps. As T90 said, laming could be good, but your scouting can be poor.

@@priesten2763 And I agree your 2nd point. Mr Yo have certainly the best decision making in AOE2, Viper too, but have a better micro than Yo. If your unit choices is poor, Mr Yo will make you pay, even with a good micro

Memb has a point man. Having unwatched time count really messes your ranking for the youtube algorithm. Just try to avoid the navigation bar, and if you need that tension regardless, remember it's not on memb's you didnt make it to the livestream to watch it live. @@williamchang2947 as much as MembTV suggests watching every minute its never gonna happen for me. there are hours of aoe2 content created every day so I'm going to pick and choose what I watch. as for the the unwatched time idk how the algorithms work, but if I know at the end of game 1 who wins b/c of the runtime I'm unlikely to watch the rest of the video and go watch a better matchup, thus hurting the watch time regardless. I don't know the exact solution, but there has to be a way. Maybe upload each game as a separate video and you can just upload 5 games IDK. watching live would be good but it just isn't going to happen regularly for me and it's frustrating that there isn't a way around this.

Absolute majority of comments, when I wrote this, were about crying for the Viper. I understand he's won most of the tournaments before, but it doesn't last everytime. Whatever you assumed might be toxic, my message is not. I myself enjoy watching the viper, and I bet I've been around longer than most of today's viewers, so there is no logic in your accusation.

Mr.Yo played very well. This response acknowledges the feeling of sadness from Viper fans, but says that it was a good game. You also said "You do not need to find excuses for the Viper" which was in reference to everyone who was "heartbroken to see Viper get eliminated". Now just because people enjoy watching The Viper play the game, it does not mean "everyone" automatically becomes a salty fanboy giving an excuse for the loss. Not "everyone" is looking for excuses. I am completely neutral here, neither a Viper fan, nor a Yo fan, however I've been following AOC for a long time. What I mean by "it's fine" is the state of the game. It is actually fine for it. The game has seen many greats, but Viper has been dominating everything since the Tyrant appeared. Everyone expects him to win everything. Therefore, it is great that others are making strong bids on winning the tournaments. I myself would be a little bit biased towards Daut only, but even there, great job to Vilese. I can make one analogy. I don't know if you follow football and Italian Serie A in particular, but Juventus has been winning the last 9 championships in a row. Is it good for Serie A? I don't think so. It clearly emphasizes the lack of competitiveness. Is it good for Juventus fans? Certainly. The same logic applies here as well. I feel there are more pros capable of winning any tourney now than it was 3-4 years ago and it is great. That's why it is fine. As said, I am myself enjoying watching the Viper's streams. One advice though, if you want to enjoy the streams, do not read chat.

He wasn't trying give an excuse for why he lost, he was giving an excuse for why he didn't perform. Those are two different things. He even kept re-emphasizing that Yo won that match and he deserved that win. All he wanted was to lose with a fight, which he didn't give back then; he was just making mistakes left and right. Here, on the other hand, we can't say he didn't perform; he had the time and energy to do so. Here, he didn't make mistakes. Here, he was just massively countered and outplayed. That, I don't think we can call a mistake. Therefore, as I said before, there was never an excuse (to why he lost, which is what the first comment is most probably referring to).
