But if we use live data Instead of flow in the DAO it is going to work similar , also it is going to update the data

Can you share the code please? I have some errors. Where is the "sharedViewModel" ?

SharedViewModel is likely the VM attached to the Activity. I think the code is available on my GitHub page - should be a link to it in the description of the video or the playlist!
