It's an Italian theme for the reception but it's not considered an Italian wedding when you're sharing vows at a Catholic church. I am happy for Kourtney this being her first marriage and all, but I'm not feeling her on using the Blessed Mother as a piece of art on that dress or anywhere else. The Blessed Mother is NOT a fashion statement. I don't care who you are, that's blasphemy and you can't make a wrong be right. We Catholics take this very seriously, this looks like it was done to be different and artsy and while I can appreciate that as an artist myself, some religious figures or most aren't used as art because this is our religion, it's not us trying to get attention. The Blessed Mother is a sacred figure. Respect the religion and Jesus mom.

I know plenty of Italian girls growing up and and the ones I know has respect for the church and would never have worn a dress like that with the Virgin Mary on the veil. If that happens, trust and believe me that Italian family will lit into them and not hold back on how they feel about that, as a matter of fact they would probably say, that's not going to happen. But, since Kourtney is a basically a visit she should have checked for doing that and travis for allowing it.

Then again, not too many years back, if you had children without the benefit of marriage, you couldn't get married in church, so I guess things have changed, and not always for the best....

I just assume that they don’t marry in the Catholic Church. The place is more like a building not a church. No priest, no crucifix, no altar servers, no tabernacle, no icon of saints, etc. They might just put some Virgin Mary icon and image because Travis was raised Catholic. That’s my take
