These footages are made during an international wetland winter count, in one of the few remaining quiet beach areas in Northern France. A special permit is needed to access this particular area. Many birds rely on quiet zones like this to survive the winter. The Shorelarks shown here for example will fly back in spring to nest in the mountains of Scandinavia.
