Follow up to the Nibbi install video. I needed to change a few things to make the cover go back on. The new muffler sounds really good. Nibbi air filter---amzn.to/3QDbpq6
Hello sir! Awesome video!! I just have a couple of questions. I noticed that you modified the muffler which appears to be that of a “grom “ ?? Was it difficult to do? Also, did it change the sound of the bike drastically? Thanks
Hello and Thank you! No it’s not difficult to do at all but you just need the right parts to put it together. Since I cut my exhaust in front of the cat I had to get a small piece of pipe to extend it. So I had the muffler, about a 6” piece of pipe and that adapter piece. It did change the sound yes. This muffler also has a decibel killer in it so if you take that out it gets quite a bit louder, I like to run with it in it so that it isn’t so loud.
Yeah, I was torn between the two before I purchased the KPR. There were things that I wasn't crazy about on the KPM and decided on the KPR instead. The one thing I just can't get past is the instrument cluster on the tank. Lifan should do a redo on that and put a nice cluster by the bars. It is a great bike though with more of an upright riding position.
@@herbiesgarage681 I just ordered the kpm and yea it was a hard decision I want both honestly lol and yea I’ve seen a couple ppl move the speedo to the bars, I will probably do that
@@whateverisclever2759 I’ve heard it was a pretty difficult thing to do with the cluster because of the wires being too short to reach idk because I’ve tried it though. Congratulations on the new KPM, I’m sure you’ll love it! I wouldn’t get too hung up on the cluster I’m sure you’ll get used to it
@@herbiesgarage681 yea come to think actually the one I saw the guy had a new one installed on the handle bars and the old one was still on the tank at the time, but it was the same cluster
I actually put a choke cable on mine that you can control at the handlebars. But as long as it's 70 degrees or above you shouldn't even need a choke. If you do, then you need to enrichen your pilot circuit. IE larger pilot jet
Awesome, I hope you enjoy the bike it's a lot of fun! I installed a midpipe adapter and a muffler, the adapter is out of stock, maybe you can find a similar one. Adapter amzn.to/42TJdnu Muffler amzn.to/3SPIfE7
You need to invest in a 3D printer and start making your own after market parts like the side cover. Not that what you did didn't turn out nice, I just think you would like making em.
@@herbiesgarage681 Man, I was watching your ride video the other day you just put out when you rode to that place where the missile silos were, I think that was the same place, but man it took me back. I gotta get another bike some day.
I do believe that the Lifan products are very good. I have 2 and both seem to be pretty good quality. I would say for the price you really can’t beat them. The more expensive Chinese brands such as CF moto maybe better quality but I really don’t know that. Both of my bikes are very dependable and I haven’t had any problems with either of them. I do plan on getting 2 more Lifan bikes later this year.
Herbies Garage what’s up brother, where did you purchase those clamps that you used instead of the springs, I have the exact same slip on and Those clamps seems to give a better tighter fit and it looks clean and neat not bulky, bike is looking tough brother , I really appreciate a response from you. Hello, I couldn't find the exact ones that I used but these are the same just a different brand. I guess I need to get better about putting more links in my video, sorry about that. www.amazon.com/AKIHISA-48-51mm-Range-T-Bolt-Stainless/dp/B0B2VZB2XW/ref=sr_1_2?crid=3730YURCA7FWO&keywords=CHUNYUNGDA%2BTT%2BHeavy%2BDuty%2BHose%2BClamps-Clamping%2BHose%2BOD%2B48-51mm%2C%2BStainless%2BSteel%2BSolid%2BT-nuts%2C%2BBand%2Band%2BScrew%2Bfor%2B2%22%2BExhaust%2BClamp%2B(1.89%2Binch%2B-2%2Binch%2C%2B2%2Bpack)&qid=1695632403&sprefix=chunyungda%2Btt%2Bheavy%2Bduty%2Bhose%2Bclamps-clamping%2Bhose%2Bod%2B48-51mm%2C%2Bstainless%2Bsteel%2Bsolid%2Bt-nuts%2C%2Bband%2Band%2Bscrew%2Bfor%2B2%2Bexhaust%2Bclamp%2B1.89%2Binch%2B-2%2Binch%2C%2B2%2Bpack%2B%2Caps%2C91&sr=8-2&th=1
@@roorozco4517hey where did you buy your mini? Is it C.A.R.B. approved? (i think the older models were approved not sure which years though) sucks some cool bikes are not carb approved in California.
