How about we just stop commenting on strangers' bodies, regardless of whether we mean it as a compliment or an insult. And don't go overboard with showing "concern" for an idol's health if they've gained/lost weight, comments about their weight may cause actual body image issues. It's fine to be concerned but don't presume to know about an idol's physical condition or the state of theit body image.
Y are ym always saying shit like this...it’s like you’ve forgotten what it means to be an idol, since when were we not allowed to compliment/talk about their bodies...why is this comment even pinned
I feel like no one should have a say nor an opinion for Jeongyeon's weight. She's clearly going through something mentally. Sometimes one's health can affect their weight. And instead of pointing out the obvious kneitzens should just respect her mental health and stay quiet about it. You think if she were to come across a video or an article about her weight will help her out? No, it will only stress her out or rise up her anxiety in front of her fans.
not only mentally, she had a serious disc injury and had to take special meds(which make one prone to put on weight) and take quite some time to recover. It’s so inhuman to just sit in your bed and judge all of those people not knowing what they’re going through. I really hope they can leave her alone alas, she’s literally glowing in this comeback and smiling brightly on stage
this isn't the case for just Jeongyeon though. We don't know what any of these idols in this video are going through. It breaks my heart to see Liz and Jeongyeon getting dragged for their weight. We never know what any one is going through mentally or even if they're on any medication that's causing their weight gain. People are always so quick to judge 😔
@@azwaalislam Fr. Body shaming or fat shaming isn't permissible at any age but seeing a 17-year old (almost 18) go through that kind of hate breaks my heart.
Some netizens r rlly terrible....I'm pretty sure idols will get really stressed out when they see such hate comments on their weight n will pressurise themselves to go on extreme diets. This *is definitely not good for them*
Seeing as Jeongyeon (my bias) gained weight due to medication (like I did), I felt a close connection to her. Seeing her live in concert having a great time, loving herself, feeling beautiful in her post-medication body made me feel so seen. Her body is beautiful, and so is she. Thank you for helping me accept my body, Jeongyeon.
My parents deal with the same issue, especially my father who had back surgery and had to take medication that increases his appetite. In this case, Jeongyeon had (back?) surgery too, and I am glad that she is having fun, despite the rude comments about her body.
Yes! I also find that idols with healthier bodies have more (stage) presence, probably because then they don't look like "cute little girls", but I think they are also happier and more attractive (I'm having Jeonghyeon and Ryujin in mind as the most common examples, but also find that this applies to Lia during Loco era)
She just need better stylist tbh. There arent many stylists who can dress all kind of body type, and she needs one badly. It's similar problem when RBW debuted Purple Kiss and Swan's style was less than stellar (they tried, but alas, the debut months were a bit painful). Given that JYP is bigger, you thought they would find her a good stylist experienced with her body type.
If y’all don’t leave Liz and Jeongyeon alone 😭 they’re both beautiful and Jeongyeon very clearly struggles with mental health whilst still juggling her career as an idol. It’s not easy to do
Jeongyeon is my bias in TWICE and it seems she is happy and that’s all I care about. If anything she is probably still recovering from her injury. Maybe not the injury itself but getting her body back to where it was. She is not by any means not in shape or unhealthy it’s only natural to gain weight when dealing with an injury where you can’t move your body to the extent that you are used to. If you look at her dancing you can tell she is not fully back to normal. She wasn’t the best dancer in TWICE but you can tell there was a bit of decline probably from the neck injury so it’s understandable. I mean overall if you are comparing her to 2015-2016 jeongyeon she looks happier. She was super thin and had the short hair cut that she was forced to have but hated.
yeah i mean she was literally restricted from exercise and couldn’t starve herself so that she would recover, it’s totally understandable she gained weight but people always comment on it without knowing the full situation
In addition to that, she was taking steroidal pain medicine which are known to cause weight gain. It’s unreasonable to expect her to stay the same as before with all the complications brought forth with her injury. Strangers online can be too cruel :/
I just wish the stylists would actually give her clothes that fit her and flatter her body. It's making her look bad when she doesn't look bad at all and its SO frustrating.
the thing with jeongyeon is that she's not even big or anything its just that you look bigger on camera and everyone around her is mega thin. she has a perfectly normal body
exactly! This is what drives me insane when people keep acting like she gained a lot of weight, she's just more on a regular body instead of thin Idol body.
Yes! Also her styling is usually pretty badly suited to her body type, which wasn't as much of an issue before when she was extremely thin like all idols bc they can make anything look good no matter the body type, but now that she is at a normal weight it shows more.
@@semoremo9548 yeees, they got some things wrong with her before but now 90% of things fit her wrong. Like all her official clothes for the comeback were a little ill fitting, things only got better with the extra clothes.
@@yourfuture5307 That's your opinion I think she looks cute, for the most part, I’ve seen people praising her and thanking the company for not making her lose weight.
@@geraltnroach not everyone has control over their body weight and by that, i don't mean by companies or shit but sometimes, no matter how much you eat you just can not gain weight and that's what lisa was dealing with so using the term "super skinny" and "beautiful AFTER gaining weight" is quite blatant and outrageous ngl
@@whatyoulookingat9888 and y'all be babying men over 25 year old and no one's complaining tho💀but when something comes to Lisa or bp y'all be sticking nose💀like wtf
@@whitesoftpetals how would you know? be serious. if you want to base it on assumptions you can also see she’s just skinny, very clearly not underweight as she was before. look at her legs, for example
Jeongyeon is honestly so pretty literally i watched the latest talk that talk one where she wore blue dress and so pretty like a cindrella. Idk why people hate her for gain weight she looked stunning still.
@True kep1ian i'll admit she doesn't look that healthy but to say she's that obese that she's in risk of death is ridiculous. have you ever seen an actually obese person? she's not even that fat
@True kep1ian she is healthy?? Dancing everyday, training everyday possibly eating healthy too isn’t healthy?? ...... and literally how is she obese. She’s a good weight. Stop being so rude and have a heart
I have a very similar body type to Jeongyeon, so I am so happy to see gorgeous girls like her that have a body type like mine. I've become so much more confident, especially because a lot of Once have praised her visuals so much more recently
@@angels_tradesll8894 how is it creepy. my comment implies that her weight gain made her curvier and therefore even more attractive. she’s a beautiful gal. relax, it’s not that serious 🙄
Jeongyeon has always been and will always be one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen in my life regardless of weight she remains gorgeous. Just the other day I was showing off pictures of her to my friends haha.
watching idols sing and dance and have such fit bodies inspired me to be healthy and start exercising, and i feel like a lot of people overlook the positive aspects of that, only focusing on claiming it causes “body image issues”
Jeongyeon was very beautiful and healthy before getting hate but after getting hate she became Skinner as you can see on Google she is now also very beautiful and also was!🥺
The only thing I’ll say is that I hate when people assume that idols gaining weight means they’re getting healthy. binge eating exists and for some of them to gain so quickly it’s probably what they’re doing unfortunately. Idols usually have messed up diets.
I think that it doesn't matter whether it's positive or not, people need to stop being so invested in kpop idols' bodies. You can say that they look great but the part where you mention their weight loss/gain is so useless, just call them pretty, don't search a reason for their attractiveness.
It’s so not fair. Jeongyeon is at the HEALTHY WEIGHT. SHES 110. People just got used to super underweight idols and started yelling at healthy idols to get unhealthy. Wow.
jeongyeon is always beautiful and shining on stage. in twice recent comeback jeongyeon is definitely gaining her confidence back and i couldn’t be more proud of her. knets need to stop harassing her and let her do her job.
Gosh...Rosé have also gained some weight...like damn did you all looked at her legs in pink venom fancam...her legs were not looking skinny at all...they were looking so sexy..💫
