KQED-TV Pledge Night -- Melissa McConnell and Doug McConnell, hosts 

Melissa McConnell (KYCY-FM "Young Country" DJ, and KQED-TV pledge host for 20 years) and Doug McConnell ("Bay Area Backroads" KRON-TV, "Mac and Mutley" KPIX-TV,,,) were paired to do the "Nova" program pledge breaks. Although the two McConnells were previously familial "no relation", they officially became unofficial "adopted cousins" from that night on.
