From: Knight of the Hunter KITT seems to be learning from Mike. That may or may not be a good thing. New modification to KITT's 4x4 Mode: he now sports a bullbar on the front.
I agree, I think they should've kept the nanomachine transformation they had originally since that looked *way* better then this Transformers knockoff thing they gave KITT
I agree; while the show was one of the better re-makes it would have been far better with KITT being more like the old KITT; just a car that was nigh on indestructible by virtue of outdriving anything that could hurt him.
@@johnbower7452 IDK, the changing idea made sense from a plot direction, there were a few episodes in the original where cops were looking for a black trans am (mostly the KARR episodes pre grey two tone) where being able to change form would have saved a ton of headaches. I know in real life licensing is required for using cars in media it goes from plot bonus to plot hinderance when a shapeshifting car can go from a 60's mustang to an Econoline cargo van but ONLY within 1 manufacturer's lineup. They honestly should have taken shapeshifting off the table, though we all know the show likely wouldn't have been greenlit AT ALL if it wasn't for all that sweet sweet Ford money.
why did they change his nanoskin transformation ability from the Pilot film to this? For some reason to me the nanoskin seems more plausible than...…this
It was a Ford promotion show not the sports car Mustang. The attack mode in Pilot episode was good but the later update was horrible. No wonder why the Trans Am will be iconic along with the super Pursuit mode.
I liked most of it, but the transformations and the focus on working for the government instead of focusing on one man and his car making a difference for those who need it definitely hurt it.
Honestly, i think the transformations look very cool but i also agree that the show would be better having modes similar to the 2000's super pursuit mode.
Prepare for Transformation *Transforms* Ford Commercial Complete lol watching these clips of Knight Rider IN SPACE or whatever this garbage was called just reminds me that I didn't miss anything by never watching this
Mass? A Shelby scales around 3,700 lbs. An F150 tips around 7,000 lbs. Mass, in this case, would not be a factor, these are curb weights for assembly line vehicles. If I had to hazard a guess, the Knight, with all its toys, would tip the scale around 5,000 lbs, easy. If all you want to do is achieve a look, mass means very little. That's why there is an air bubble inside of gumballs, to increase size to make the product appear larger, and therefore more appealing.
@@RotesFlämmchen if that were true then kit could turn into anything even an aircraft carrier, but he can not turn into anything larger than common road vehicles.
in transformers terms it's called mas shifting, taking mass from other parts of the vehicle and moving them in a way that allows one to basically change size to a degree.
My Lada can transform into a T34 :D But the new knight rider sucks, because its more transformers, than the original knight rider and hell its just a fucking mustang :(
Modern Days... Wonder what happens if it was Optimus Prime in the show... Be like transforming into a better robot then KARR... And have a jet mode at least...
I just watched the episode where a character and KITT speak in French, and both actors butcher it. (I speak French so I could tell.) They should've actually had someone who spoke French to tutor them on the correct enunciation.
@@morganrussman Transcribed from the episode in question: "KITT, aimez-vous votre travail?" "Oui, c'est tres gratifiant, autant pour les personnes qui le travais." "Merveilleux, KITT, you are marvelous." "Merci Docteur Arrow."
The screw up of the reboot is that KITT was never the star of the original show, but it became the dominant star. The other characters had depth. In the reboot, it was all about KITT. The other characters were shallow and empty…they thought enough CGI would keep the fan base happy.
@@MrPAULONEAL - Yeah…which went nowhere. The throwback to Michael Knight could have been omitted (nostalgia draw), and to imply a past relationship with KARR and then do nothing with it was pathetic writing. This is why I HATE reboots. Too often people with no talent are just rehashing old ideas, not trying to bring new life into a franchise (e.g., Galactica or Doctor Who (9 though 11)).
Michael Knight and KITT relationship is the star ⭐ of the show. Seeing Man and Machine bonded together is what made Knight Rider work. The Reboot failed at that.
Honestly, if they give this good care and treatment as well as bring back the original writers and such, could be on par with the original, hope they reboot it soon by bringing back both the OG Stars and the '08 stars as well, but with better acting skills, been while since I've seen this and now it is a memory somehow I've they ever do that and finally bring back David to play as Michael Knight, maybe do a plot twist that isn't Michael Knight but his evil twin pretending to be Michael Knight, then replace Mikey with his evil counterpart which technically be his cousin or his long lost twin brother because some times twins also make twins themselves, but where Mikey is captured, his evil self take his place and infiltrated the gang for ulterior motive until K.I.T.T 3000 and Sarah figured out the ruse and go and try to save Mikey but all failed, but then finally Michael Knight returns to save them all with the OG K.I.T.T 2000 and freeing them, then all end happily ever after, the two K.I.T.T finally meet and said that K.I.T.T 2000 is more or less the father of K.I.T.T 3000, so yeah Also, my idea of a continuation of the series is the technology becomes mainstream and all rival companies try to replicate K.I technology for their own, some good but some bad, also resurrected K.A.R.R but he is his OG self and a bit of an anti-villian of a sense, help the heroes when sees fit, but still wanna destroy them until possibly be redeemed, maybe a female K.I.T.T called K.A.T.T, but don't wanna just go their for as a female replacement or such that plague most franchise, a more respectable approach, so yeah
It was a show sponsored by Ford. It was one giant commercial for their crap lineup. Hell, even KITT was a V6 made to look like a Shelby. What a waste of a show.
That remake was without a doubt one of the dumbest remakes I've ever seen. It wasn't even close to good. They could've stuck with the original premise and at least made it somewhat "okay".....but nope....just Hollywood cashing in on old ideas just to come up with a dumb final product. I mean, the transformer thing??? REALLY???
