KR4 - Game 68 - What the Hill - VGK 3, TBL 5 

Hey Tyler. It's cj dont know if you remember me from singles ward. Anyways. The issue people are missing with Hill is we shouldve never extended him to begin with. He was our 4th string goalie last year. Because that's what he always was his entire career. A back up. A mediocre one at best. When we extended him at starter money I screamed. Because we didn't learn from st Louis who had their unknown goalie go on a hot run in the playoffs and paid him like a starter Because he won the cup. Then went on to be terrible compared to his money. Hill had many years under his belt as proof that he is not anywhere near consistent enough to be a starter in the nhl. And we paid him like a top starter. For 13 hot games in the playoffs that were likely due to being the freshest goalie in the tournament due to not playing much. And for some reason everyone thought Because he started the season hot that it would last. Though he showed for many years it won't. And just like I expected he has played too many games and became fatigued and inconsistent. Hes not a good goalie at all when comparing to nhl starters. Literally one of the worst actually. And we need to call out Cassidy for not taking accountability for this and putting it on the goalie coach. Not ok. He decides who plays each night. Not the goalie coach. And anyone can see Logan Thompson is back to being very solid since fully recovering from last years injury. And literally had a shut out performance sunday if it weren't for pietrangelos lately lazy play he would've had the shut out. And for some reason Cassidy thought it would be smart to go back to the guy who hasn't allowed less than 3 goals since February 8th our teams worst stretch by a goalie in our history. Ya thats a great idea. At this point we need lehner back because I don't even have confidence in Hill as a backup anymore. He is struggling to allow less than 4 now and lehners worst games were 3 allowed and his average was 2 allowed. Reason people hated lehner was because of his depression and because he would allow a quick goal every game but they'd forget to realize he'd rarely allow more than one more the rest of the games. Thompson should hands down be our starter. And Lehner should be called back to the team to compete to be the back up.
