5 years later we’re still watching. We are booked into the Tubkaek Boutique for about £50 a night in April 2024. Looks amazing. Thanks

That beach looks so quiet! The view of the islands on the bay looks stunning. This is more the ideal image I had in mind of Thai beaches.

You captured some really nice shots around the area! Breakfast looked so good, looked just like the one I had in Phi Phi Islands

Hey there, we are off to the Anyavee Resort this June, so as you said the low season. First time this part of Thailand but been to the country many times. In the low season is there much to eat outside the hotel? Can we wander into the other hotels along the beach? Are there any restaurants open in low season in the area? Is the hotel pricy for lunch/dinner etc? We’ve done research but it’s not all from firsthand experience! Sorry for all the questions! Thank you.

No problem at all, it's what we're here for! There isn't much else in the area to eat except the resorts on the beach unless you get a taxi to the next beach which is called klong muang. There is a decent 'shack restaurant' called Tubkaek Seafood on the beach but it's around the same price as the hotels. There is a small street food cart next to the Tubkaek Sunset selling pad Thai and papaya salad which is cheap. Prices at the hotels are around 250 baht on average and are the same price pretty much everywhere. I just wrote a review that covers most of your questions in a bit more depth: theroamingcook.com/tubkaekbeachkrabiguide/ I hope this helps and have a great time on Tubkaek!

@@theroamingcook Thank you mate! The wife booked this one for us and then was worried we were too far from everything -which I thought was the point! But glad there is something about, even in the low season, and as long as the taxis are not too much of a rip off (or turn on their meters) we should be good. Am on your website now, thank you!

@@thecat2587 My wife's the reason we ended up there! I'm usually someone who needs to get around but this place kind of forces you to relax. The taxis are all set price, not a meter in sight unfortunately which is why I only used one! The Hotel has a shuttle to Ao Nang and Krabi Town I think if you do get stir crazy!

@@theroamingcook Ah I see. Thanks for the heads up. Was it pricey to take the taxi to klong muang? And the shuttle bus, how much was that? (questions questions)!)

@@thecat2587 No worries, that's what I'm here for! It's 300 baht one way or 500 return. Go to Tubkaek Seafood, the shack restaurant and ask for Saksit Nayao (he's the owner of the taxi/travel company). Tell him you know me and you might get a discount! He sorted our tour to Hong Island as well. The shuttle bus from the hotel to Ao Nang is 200 baht and leaves at 17.30 every night, coming back at 21.30. I was wrong about Krabi Town. No bus there! Definitely use www.krabicab.com/ if you're getting a taxi from the airport, they are the cheapest and best we've used anywhere. I just messaged them on Facebook and they were there waiting for us when we landed and 300 baht cheaper than any of the hotel or airport taxis!
