This method does not work. I tried to defend in this way for sparring and I lost

I'm not the best but I'm a purple belt in BJJ. this technique works great when you combine it with options. 3 other options- as their weight shifts in preparation to your defense something is always available, you either 1) get super close to them with your body and roll them over yours, 2)create space push on their chin and drop them in the hole, 3) or get to your knees and take their back.
