The flow switches in this are absolutely insane! Nobody in the game can flow switch better than krayzie bone! This song has such a strange structure........there is no verse 1, chorus, verse 2, chorus......it's just a collection of catchy hooks and flow switches tied in to 6 minutes. Its absolutey genius! What a tune and also what a way to showcase your strengths as a rapper! Shout out to Bone Thugs n Harmony.......the best to ever do it! HIT THE LIKE BUTTON IF YOU AGREE!
Weird to come back here as a middle aged guy. I was a teenager when i first listened to this. Classic badass music my friends. Bone and Krayzie are truly original. Happy to witness them from the start.
Bro, I'm a 70's baby. I remember when the original "Moments In Love" song dropped. They remade it a few times, but this one was the one we all loved. I'm the early 90's we used to freestyle or use the beat in talent shows. Then this album dropped. Maaaaan, we heard Krayzie rip this shit up and retired the beat 😂😂😂 We never ONCE again spit bars over this because we all knew we could never do it justice like Krayzie did. This shit was INCREDIBLE!
yes, but the production and layering of Krayzie's vocals was the bread and butter...its basically 3 of krayzie bone on this track...listen to this song, but the pre release version on here...still amazing.
Nah mobb who and what bum from what. I'm not even gonna continue. Krayzie Bone is on a different level than bun b and method man ir Redman cause just I'll be quiet. Krayzie Bone is a Genius. I cant say that about the others.
Besides the obvious lyrical genius and exceptional flow...what really got me when this came was: 1) the fact that he basically made a song using about 12 different hooks, that on their own could’ve each been hit songs and 2) name a time or artist before this that melodically....described multiple ways to die or be killed. He’s singing...about killing. It’s genius to me! Krayzie is so underrated and that’s a shame!!!
Krayzie has always been Bone first, then himself and he clearly is and always has been a Tactician of Melody and to be 100% honest, one of the GOATs hands down!
Me and my boyz all 5 of us used to smoke, drink, and bump creeping on a come up, and east 1999 on cassette at the kick it spot. Crazy how fast it all went by. These dudes were literally like gods to us since we we were going into teenhood and they were already young adults.
This song shows Krayzie Bones out of this world ability to write, sing, and rap. This guy is truly an Artist. Vocal control, diction, pitch, and harmony. He is even doing his own 3 part harmonies. Bone thugs have changed the game whether people(MUSIC INDUSTRY) believes it or not.
I'm seriously trying to figure out how tf can someone play with their voice so skillfully like that??? SHIT IS KRAYZIE!! literally. He absolutely mastered the intonation of his vocals G.O.A.T.
I was 19 when this came out and remember getting the double CD at a Blockbuster in their music section at a location next to Gold's Gym where i worked at the time. Still listening to this album in 2023!
Who’s here in 2023 and beyond is the question a all time classic for life This song is going down in history as one of the most invigorating themes of all time
Who from Columbus Ohio remembers listening to 107.5 late night and them playing just the instrumental to this song? It was probably around the time this album came out. But they played this instrumental right at midnight before they started another round of songs.
I remember when this album came out. I skipped school that day to buy it as soon as the store opened. Not only did it not disappoint. But, can easily be top 5 in the entire bone thugs catalog. They created a sub genre that no one else has been able to pull off. This song right here was the best part of my 10th grade year for sure! Lol
Mr. Saw-off Leatherface is un-neek on another level ; delivery with harmony, flow is just untouchable. going high and low. I swear to god when krayzie switch up his voice from high to low when rapping.. just to damn sick!! only bizzy can do the same shit if my dude just kept the same flow. Respect legend
Bone thugs greatest Just came here from watching that song! :) Speaking of bizzy's high to low, i absolutely love Bizzy's high lines in 'shoot 'em up! ' Great stuff!!!! 'Shoot em' up always, hate when I break you off and you loss And make it look to floss Let there be coffins for all of your offspring Now let there be coffins for all of your offspring'
I agree, Thug Mentality is a masterpiece. It's a shame it don't get the props that it truly deserve. Us real Bone fans know how good it is though, so that's all that matters.
i do my best to keep it in teh convo. especially whenm my younger freinds talk about...like drake, uzi vert whatever and how its "the best album they ever heard" i always tell them come to this, or something bone thugs related, then get back to me.
It's pure fire there's no one else like Krazy bone and his crew they were unique and nobody will ever come closer to them.i love bone thugs their the best of the best.
I rememeber listening to this with my husband when we were teens. Its really hard to listen to Krazy.. It reminds me of good times but makes me so sad. RIP Bart 11-03-09.
Man. I remember jamming this in my first car on my way to high school, smoking a huge blunt on the way. Some days, I let this album play in my car all the way through and never went to class. Too good to turn of. What I wouldn't give to have the year this came out back.
Man, I remember when I first heard the original beat from The Art Of Noise back when I was about eight years old, I instantly fell in love with it. Then Krayzie came out wit Mo' Murder on the Mo Thugs album and I fell in love all over again. The tragic story of Art Of Noise spawns a happy ending. Not only did A LOT of people sample this beat, but the best element of that group (Alex Paterson) peeled off to create The Orb, another one of my top 5 favorite groups. Thing is both Bone and The Orb started to get popular around the same time, so I was torn between the peaceful ambient world and the crazy murderous Bone-Thug world. One hell of a childhood I tell ya
I was in elementary school bumping this track on repeat. Krayize Bone has God given talent like no other he made that sample 3x better than what it is now talking about murda and sampling one of the Greatest Best Known beats of all time is straight Master Peace of Art
Im still slapping this in 2021 just installed my new 10s kickers and this track slap hard, my neighbor told me she knows when I'm home because her windows start rattling.
It's so lame that you can't stream this master piece. Damn, I was in middle school when this came out. I miss this album so much. I use to listen to this for hours and get lost in my thoughts.
