So it's actually a recipe book for any kind of paint typ that is so cool! Makes sense since they mainly sell pigments to make a book that shows all the different uses of pigments
I'm adding it to my books to purchase list for sure! I was more interested personally as a mixed media artist in getting a book exactly like this with an overview of many media and how to make them. This is not a bad review you need not be so apologetic. You simply clarified what the book is and who it is for. Now that I'm aware of this book I'll be sure to pick it up. I think you shouldn't assume what percentage of your audience is "just watercolour" as I'm mixed media. Mixed media includes watercolours for most so you get plenty of mixed media artists watching not just watercolour purists!
I'm totally in the same boat. I'm actually looking into researching all that to write my own as I haven't found anything as of yet as well rounded as I'd like
I think if you are expecting any company to give you their proprietary mixes of color you will be disappointed. What I see is a mixed media artists recipe book from heaven. Can’t you hear the angels singing!!! You can go to a million websites to try and find those recipes and info!!!! So thank you for showing all that you did!!! Off to amazon!!!!😍
You gave a good review of the product. The book is interesting. I might at some future date purchase this book. It does have some interesting information that might be fun to read.
I was so excited to see this video! I have been eyeing up this book but was always hesitate for the reason you mentioned. I think this has made up my mind that this isn't something I will be buying. As nice as it is, looking at it I feel that you can find all of that info on google. It doesn't look like it goes into much depth about each paint medium. And as usual watercolour isn't given the attention it deserves. It looks very pretty though which is a bonus.
That's a cool book. I think there is a pigment to binder ratio when you are looking for pigments online. But I'm not sure if they have a recipe for watercolor on each pigment. I didn't know that you can make Ink at home. Definitely learned something new today. Maybe I'll try that out one day.
@@OtoKano I'll keep it in mind. If I run out of my waterproof ink I'm going to make my own ink. At least I was planning that. I think it's very cool to say "I made that ink myself". Maybe there are videos about ink making too. Clay brush holders/anti-roll-thing are on my to-do list for 2021 as well.
Thanks Oto. Looks like it would be a good over view for anyone starting painting just to get to know what hoes into different mediums. Nice first book as an intro.💜
Thank you for reviewing this, as I have been interested in it, but was wondering if this is the right book for me. I'm really into that stuff, and I love Kremer (they are local to me - if this wasn't the pandemic I could go to their shop) for all they do. This review made me want to buy this book, even if I'll never make paint (some day I'll try to make watercolor). They also have this great set for making your own watercolor. So on my next time I'll purchase from them I'll make sure to put this book into my cart.
Ahhh I love your videos! Even if I'm not interested in the topic of the video I enjoy hearing your relaxing voice! Watching this video as I digitally paint for work.
It’s a pity that there are only 8 pages of watercolour paint. This book was on my wish list, but now I will remove it. I do agree with you, though, that this would be useful in an educational setting; that would be very exciting, especially if students get to make the paints.
I was wondering if you ever found a book of actual colors mixing recipes? I've been looking for about a year now, but can't really find anything. Thanks for the review 🥰
Once I paid like £10 for one of the Jackson's magazines and the section I was interested was like a paragraph. This Kremer book looks interesting, actually.
I just ordered this from Jacksons! I've been making watercolour for a little while and am interested in doing some oils, looks like I made a good guess on it!
