I despise arms race in randoms, when it was its own mode it was fun since people who queued for it mostly actually went and contested the buffs because that's the whole mode... but in randoms almost without fail one team knows what the deal is and grabs the buffs while the other seemingly goes out of their way to avoid the buffs...

I played one where an Iowa sailed around a buff for prolly 3 or 4 minutes while I was on the other side of the map in chat saying GET THE BUFF GET THE BUFF and he refused to. It wasn't contested, he was sniping at ships 20km away. He just.... wouldn't pick it up.

That's why I lost almost all Arms Race battles I got into. If go and try to grab/contest the buffs while everyone else does their best to not get them

As a dd main arms race is a thousand times better than epicentre. Sitting in the contested caps getting nothing for it while your moronic team sits back sniping for most of the game was horrific. At least you get a period of normal play and if you are an aggressive dd player you can get your team a winning advantage early.

I have Smolensk,Kremlin and the Petro yet...i took Lutjens because of that secondary spam on great majority of secondaries..also Schlieffen and because of active benefits during battle,instead of when you fuck up and you need a free-get-out-of-jail

But PQ, how is this possible? You are such a good player, and WG assures us that every player has plenty of counterplay against subs. The reason they're constantly getting buffed - or other ships than CV's are getting nerfed in ASW - is because they're so weak. So how can you not counter that sub?? /sarcasm. Oh and yeah: Fuck Wargaming.

Yeah, that sucked but he didn't even try to blindfire against the subs while having 2 airstrikes with like 30 seconds cooldown each. That's about as much firepower as your main battery you get as extra just against submarines. Imagine having an extra set of guns just to blindfire against smoked destroyers but you don't even use them. At what point is it really just a skill issue?

@@Deraios If you have no idea where it is, what's the point? With a DD you can at least guess because he's somewhere in that smoke cloud. With a sub he could be 10 km or 2.1 km away in almost any direction (they're fast and nimble) and you have no idea.

@@AllAhabNoMoby Because there's no reason not to bother. At best, you hit the submarine. At worst, you don't and it's the same outcome as not using the airstrike. In this scenario, the submarine went towards PQ through two islands meaning you could tell exactly where the submarine is and even its direction since there's only one possibility. PQ could've landed a nigh perfect serie of airstrikes on it.

@@dzello If/when the submarine is the only thing bothering I'd agree with you. Usually, they attack when you're already in combat with 1 or more others, in which case there is very little if any time to try and find out where the sub is. My real question is, why is there a small group of people who insist that subs aren't really a problem when the vast majority of players - including virtually every streamer and top player - say they don't fit in the game in their current format?

Your idea about the buffs is interesting, but not depending on who has more buffs. I think dynamic buff placement would be interesting in general. With CVs for instance, you know which player is the better CV player from the first 2 mins where they place their fighter planes. If it's the enemy team CV, you kinda feel bummed out already before the real match starts

If I am in an arms race and I am in a dd i will go straight to the buff and die. JUST LIKE THE GAME IS DESIGNED! My reasoning is this game style throws the different ships characters out the window, if you don't go for the buffs your team is playing at a disadvantage ,what fun. So you are forced to yolo for the buffs . WARGAMING WHERE IS THE STRATEGY IN THAT. So I yolo just like they want me to and then i can get back to a game style that I can use strategy and the ship attributes to get my best advantage.

wanting to get the next RB ship and was looking in your old clips and can't find anything outside of ohio, colbert, and slava. do you have clips on druid, vampire, sigfried, gibralter or paolo emilio? any thoughts from the peanut gallery are also welcome on what ship you like and why. i have ohio and colbert already and like them for doing missions with.

Well, paolo Emilio is a pretty fun meme ship.. and you'll find plenty of videos for it doing paolo Emilio things .... Yuro has a great video on Gibraltar, and sea lord mountbatten posted a video recently showcasing solid gameplay of the seigfried. I don't have good enough sources for the rest though

I have Kremlin and Petro but no high tier Russian premium ships so I don't think I'll get Kuznetsov cause it's not worth to use it only on one ship.

Maybe you should just say "I take an extra second to aim because WG's solution to the rail guns was to add an artificial delay so you're shots won't go where you're aiming if you go too fast". So people know lol

tbh I've found Arms Race to be more of a toss up than other games modes. In other game modes it's usually a given the team stacked with unicums wins, but in Arms Race I find it closer to 50/50

I remember how pissed you got on stream when that Henry lit you lmao, after you got _only_ 9 fires in the previous game with your own Henry lol (in a 200k+ game too no less) There there PQ, just remember that in times of frustration, there will be those players who find a 100k game to be great and don’t even have a 20 point captain ^^

I really hate what WG did with arms race. I actually like the game mode cause I think the silly stats you can get are fun, but it sucks that it was added to randoms instead of it's own dedicated mode. Now you have every typical player doing the same shit they do in every other game mode instead of people who are specifically looking for something else, which makes it less fun.

I dont want to help the losing team, i want my team to stop being a bunch of poop eating donkeys and actually go for the objectives. Thats what i really really dislike about this game in general is that everything is deathmatch. Even cap games only matter at the end when people suddenly realize they cant kill everyone. Its so damn frustrating. I wish they let us choose the game mode. Random games, then the game type. Or just make caps worth much more. Take away points for losing a ship but dont gain poimts for killing one. Or vice versa. Or hell, even just get rid of ship kill points for those game types all together. Need to so something about it.

I can be at point-blank range, aim at waterline and NO CITADELS! PQ fires salvo at 15km - 3 Citadels. Fukin CC BS - always getting the BS RNG so people watch their channel and go 'oh neat what a cool game I might play that' lol...then get 'normal person' mechanics.
