Rap/hip-hop is a genre created or made popular by the Americans which has spread worldwide and been embraced globally. Similar to Jamaica and the influence of reggae globally and even England with grime in today's current musical state. I say that to say to this: in order for you to make 'Rap' (especially) it should be authentic to the genre first and foremost. Secondly we are in an era where the musical divisions are being broken .. and the world is enjoying Universal music... from a Universal language. So if you speak English.... no matter the continent or colour we can understand... it just needs to be in a form which is palatable for the world. I believe Krept and Konan are achieving a 'WORLDWIDE LEVEL of music.. and still flying the flag with their accent style. it just needs to be familiar .. like drake being a Canadian and dominating world music. GOOD is GOOD bottom line.
