This video is about krimsky test which is done to measure the amount of tropia. In krimsky test we use prisms to center the corneal light reflex in the deviating eye. '
In krimsky we use prisms in front of deviating eye.
In modified krimsky we use prisms in front of the fixating eye.
The most accurate way of measuring the amount of deviation is by the prism cover test. But it needs good cooperation,proper fixation and good visual acuity. So krimsky test is done in case where the prism cover test cannot be performed.
Thanks for watching.

I noticed that when you placed the prism in a BO direction in the deviating eye, it moved in the direction of the base but when you placed that same BO prism in the focusing eye, it moved in the direction of the Apex... Kindly explain this

Hi! I am not sure of the picture that you noted. Can you pls mention the image? But for your clarification, when we place a prism, the light always gets deviated towards its base irrespective of the eyes we are placing. keeping this clear will solve your doubt I guess. Thank you very much

Helpful tutorial, only that the background music( which is really not necessary) is rather too loud and conflict with the teaching itself

Thank you so much for your valuable suggestion. I also felt the same after uploading many videos. I uploaded my recent videos without background music. Hope that would be clear. If you find time, Kindly watch my recent videos and let me know if that is okay. Thanks for the supports and these kind of feedbacks are really necessary to fine tune our channel. Thanks again.

@letslearnoptometry9681 7 месяцев назад
Hi! I am guessing that you are asking the difference between esodeviation and esotropia..? If I am correct, Esodeviation is a common term for both esophoria (Hidden convergence squint) and esotropia (manifest convergence squint).
