+east athletics lol I thought the same thing. It's the way he moves his face and he has a similar sounding voice, although he is nowhere near as eloquent and never will be, "you know?" Haha
you think he would beat Dunn 1v1? LOL as a pure PG yea he is better but if you add Size, Athleticism, Elite D, and playmaking together Dunn is a better prospect and PG
+Chuyi Vue tf does him beating Dunn in a 1v1 have to do with anything . the best pg in ncaa out of the two last year was Ulis . size is the reason Dunn is regarded as a top prospect and Ulis isn't
Chicago Sports I just said that cuz Dunn would DESTROY him LOL I already told you as a pure pg he is better but as an overall player I would take Dunn. I hope my T-wolves get Dunn and wonder where Ulis is gonna get pick. I think he is worth a 1st round.
Yeah, he is the pick that makes the most sense for the Wolves. A lot of young talent with similar age. Wiggins and Dunn will have to keep working on their shooting (which they already are doing) cause having both a 1 and a 3 that are not good shooters is a no-no in today's NBA.
***** Rubio's contract is about 14 million so I don't think they can afford to keep him. And if they get Dunn they'll have to play him so most likely Rubio will have to leave. Rubio is definitely not a bad player, I think the Timberwolves would prefer to draft a good PF but the 5th pick is awkward as it is a bit too late for Bender and a bit too early for Henry Ellenson, Skal Labissiere or Maruesse Chriss.
Because of that fact, I think it would also make sense for the Timberwolves to see what they can get for the 5th pick which other teams that want to reinforce their perimeter with something like Murray, Dunn or Hield would die for and move down to 8th-11th where they can still take a suitable Power Forward.
+Chris C Depends on what you mean by "best". Ulis from a skills and I standpoint I can't disagree. However it does do much being 5'9" 149lbs and not overly athletic in a league of athletic marvels. He could have a solid career as a back up though
Isaiah Cousins Hampton me too. He is the most NBA ready and his weaknesses aren't that difficult to fix and he is already improving on it. I'm mostly worried about his TO's than his shot cuz his shot doesn't look as bad as Rubio or as ppl say it is. I think his TO's were due to his usage at Providence but he needs to take care of the ball better and make better decisions.
HamsterFacesGaming I'd say Brown and Bender are about tied in terms of potential but we'll see. This draft in general feels pretty unpredictable to be honest in terms of who will be good. Many kids with special skillsets and potential. I expect more busts than average and more steals than average.
+theo konstantellos i agree....i see more superstars and solid starters or role players than all stars....cause you know you got a couple of prospects with really high potential but on the other hand you got some older players ready to contribute and thats why i also think the 2016 rookies will have better numbers overall that this year's rookies even though i think the 2015 will prove better in the future overall...
+Ross Pusey ulis is a good fit anywhere he's rarely turns the ball over can handle it well can shoot off the dribble or catch and shoot and is a great defender kentuckys coach said he's the best floor general he's ever had
Man this guy is killing it in the workouts. Seems like a John Wall type of PG. If my Celtics weren't so stacked up in the guard position we should draft him. I think he is going to be a top 10 point guard in the league
pretty well spoken, that never hurts. really like this guy, hope he somehow makes it to the Pels at #6. him and AD in the pnr would be devastating, he is athletic enough to take off, and AD can pop off a mid range jumper or cut with the best of them. Match made in heaven.
Damn it. The Wolves are really about to do this whole dynasty thing, then. Interesting to see what happens with RR, he's a stellar defender and playmaker, but he can't shoot for shit. Hopefully if they grab Dunn, they ease him in and then do something with Rubio once Dunn has matured to NBA play. It'd be prospectively interesting to see him on the Spurs, maybe the motion there could help him get to the bucket and allow his passing to be shown off.
yea i'm excited as WOLVES fan from MN. They will have a DYNASTY for sure if last year Davis signed with MN and the Wolves drafted Dunn this year LOL I wish Davis and Towns was on the same Team. I hope his talents don't get wasted like Melo
Dunn will definitely be backup up Rubio if we take him. Our bench was woefully bad however and he should be an immediate upgrade over Tyus as the backup PG. Will improve our second unit's D instantly.
I think adding a power forward would be the correct route as well, it's just difficult for me to evaluate any fours in this draft as high lottery picks. Bender is the only possibility, but he's no sure thing, and I don't feel like Wolves should risk a misstep on him if they can grab a Kris Dunn or some wing to stretch the floor. That's assuming Dragan even makes it to their pick.
Brendon Sanders Ingram has been receiving the Durant treatment due to his tall, anorexic body, but he's closer to Tayshaun Prince than The Durantula IMO. Dunn is a Wall/CP3 type-talent.
ikr. The thing is nba teams sometimes need some specific skills from players to compliment the stars of the team and the playstyle. Its really hard to be in the league you have to be special to be a star. DAMN! I wish i was 6"5 PG
Most players in his position are just grateful to get drafted and try to get picked as high as possible which gets you a bigger contract. Then worry about the other stuff later.
In his position? You act like this nigga is a second rounder or something, he's gonna be a Top 10 pick, he should start or at least be given an opportunity to get legit minutes.
He is nothing like Tyreke Evans lol he's quicker, faster, more explosive, and athletic with a jumper Tyreke Evans is smooth and relies on strength and his handles and has no jumper come on boys no your stuff
thats a big IF though... i've seen so many guys... one that comes to mind is kevin durant... the ONLY knock on him coming out of college was putting on weight, and he never did... who knows if kris dunn is going to hit the weight room, but as quick and shifty as he is he doesn't have too
great every mock draft has wolves drafting this joke. another pg who can't shoot and is very sketchy driving to the rim please please get buddy, Murray, or bender
Look at his game against USC. If you guys have a lineup of Dunn, Butler, Wiggins, and towns. Those 4 alone are straight defensive guys and a team with tremendous athletes the NBA hasn't seen since probably MJ's Bulls.
+Donovan Marc Walker if we draft dunn period ill go buy gs warriors jersey the next day.. usc blows id hope he'd do something watch buddy all tourney shitting people murray also would help the wolves bender we need someone who's a true scored dunn can't shoot and he isn't great finisher
+matthew jacobs name me consistent games and times you saw buddy hield create for himself? Name one time you saw a display of his handles? Name a game in which he played tremendous defense. I'll wait because the truth is you can't find it. He's a black JJ Reddick. Bender is iffy as are all European players and he played in a worse league than Porzingous. Murray is really slow, but is a really good shooter and has some upside but projects better as a 2 guard. Look at Dunn and name me a game where his skills weren't on display.
+Donovan Marc Walker ricky rubio is a elite pg who runs the offense at a elite level... the wolves don't need duh we need either a rim protector or a shooter dunn isn't a shooter he's a poor mans john wall.. and dunn played poop all year
I watched him all season .. definitely was my favorite player ... I'm a sixers fan .. I was hoping we get him .. maybe there's a chance . trade Noel to the suns for there pick or something
Nah, hopefully Something more like Jah for the Celts pick and maybe Smart. I don't want smart but he is a great defender and that's something we're looking for
