I played this for my sister a few minutes ago. As the song began to develop, she uttered the same thought that I had when I first heard it yesterday. "He reminds me of Dad." Our dad was very gifted on the piano accordion and piano. He often enchanted us little kids with beautiful waltzes and grand classical compositions. He passed away from cancer 53 years ago today at the age of 42. We were still little kids at the time. Love you, Dad. May we meet again. Thank you, Kris and friends. Thank you.
Kris--you played this for me and my girlfriend the night I proposed to her on Mauna Kea back in January. What a beautiful, masterful job you've done on this. I'll dance to it at my wedding in October. Keep going.....I hope you catch a break and bring this to the masses. You're a virtuoso.
Why is this so underrated ???!! I always come back to listen at this whenever I'm feeling tired and depressed, I swear there's something about how he hits the chords so sweetly ... simply majestic !
I will refuse to believe that talent is something restricted at birth. To say that is to give an excuse to comfort one's self from the lack of motivation that keeps them saying "I wish..."
WOW......I can't get enough of this. What a great cover. I found you by accident, but am so glad I did. Finally, someone who does the song justice....the way it was meant to be. Such a feel good version......THANK YOU
He sings with his ukulele I respect people like this some can sing and play but the ones who weren't gifted with song sing like this. Simply beautiful I envy them genuinely and humbly.
Thanks for showing me what a uke in good hands is actually capable of sounding like. For years I just put it in the category of a joke instrument - like a kazoo, with bad touristy overtones. It's nice to know the humble uke can honestly be considered a serious instrument. 😊
Absolutely one of the finest songs my ears have ever listened to. You took me there, took me on an adventure.... then the bass solo? WOW. And then jazzy on the ukulele????? If I wore panties, I would throw them on stage. Amazing amazing rendition.
Nice arrangement and great playing. So many people play this song wrong and say it's their arrangement... You understand the tune and put your spin on it. Big difference!
A friend put this on facebook and wow I went into RU-vid to listen. I always loved this song and this instrumental version of Kris Fuchigami is far the best I have heard. A fan for life now.
i want to specifically buy this version of this song. with the mountains in the background it makes me feel so lucky to be living in hawaii and im wanting to have this to be heard by so many people. ive forwarded this in emails and said on fb and twitter and my ig and tumblr, this song needs to get recognized. real good job keep this up please!
you could convert it to an mp3 via convert2mp3 not sure the address though cause i buy my music but if you cant find it and have exhausted all venues of choice then i say go for it especially if you have honest intentions like that hope it helps
Absolutely fantastic.I love and sing this beautiful song all the time AND this would be so great to sing with this perfect instrumental backup. Wow........only just heard this. You guys play with such passion and that really fascinates me. You guys are just great, I can listen to your music all day long, it really soothes the spirit and soul. Thanks guys for bringing this to us and PLEASE don't stop playing.
Thank you Kris for this outstanding rendition, just brings back childhood memories...............man with that uke just killing it, amazing talent and gift, please keep on delivering, can't get enough of it
Verse 1] You're just too good to be true Can't take my eyes off of you You'd be like Heaven to touch I wanna hold you so much At long last love has arrived And I thank God I'm alive You're just too good to be true Can't take my eyes off you [Verse 2] Pardon the way that I stare There's nothing else to compare The sight of you leaves me weak There are no words left to speak But if you feel like I feel Please let me know that it's real You're just too good to be true Can't take my eyes off you [Hook] I love you, baby And if it's quite alright I need you, baby To warm a lonely night I love you, baby Trust in me when I say: Oh, pretty baby Don't bring me down, I pray Oh, pretty baby, now that I found you, stay And let me love you, baby Let me love you 💛
Thank you Kris and crew for such a unique and beautiful rendition of one of my most favorite songs. I've listened to this over and over the last several years. And, oh yeah.... it doesn't put a tear in my eye...
This so fantastic music that anyone can't take their eyes from the view of mountainous hills and landscape so exciting to sleep under the breezing point of wind
This is an out-of-this-world version and combination! The sounds are amazing enough - highly polished and tasty - but then look at those cool instruments, the house, and the background. Wow! I feel lucky and blessed to have stumbled onto this. Makes me want to give this song a try too, on my own ukulele.
I keep coming back to this. Kris' Kamaka sounds so sick as usual, but can we talk about that bass solo tho? I'm definitely stealing all the good vibes here for my next song 🤣
Kris, thank you so so much for this wonderful amazing music, you give to the world! Heartily greetings from Austria, We hope to hear you someday here in our country,God bless you!
What in earth was that!!!! This brought totally new dimension to this tune. It's magic when something you've heard thousand times before sounds so fresh you want to hear it over and over? Beauty, thank you!!!!
Go Mark on that Bass. Reminds me when you use to back me up in those old days on the Catamaran. Great Ukulele playing as always. Great backup musicians.
