Kris is a winner of a Star Search here in the PHilippines...its called 'Star in A Million.' Yeah...RnB is his genre.:-). The song you heard Sam Mangubat sang (All or nothing) din't give justice to how great his voice is...I suggest you listen and react to his cover of 'When we were young' by Adelle...NOT in the wishbus but in his channel. You can see the character of his voice...there's rasp, growl, and lots of emotions. Sam sang this with Billy Padillo...you'll enjoy this...'swear.:-). You can also check his rendition of 'Dancing on my own' and 'Pillow Talk'...amazing covers.

I feel you, M-Angel. I'm not a huge fan of the lyrics, too, but the usual melodic hooks BM has in this song (like in most of his songs) I can flow easily with. One thing I can appreciate about artists like Bruno Mars (I'm on old fan) though is how he comes up with bedroom jams like "Versace on the Floor," and then releases a moving track like "When I Was Your Man." Also, and I might be committing sacrilege when I write this, but he really reminds me of an 80's MJ. Some artists make sad songs sad, and happy songs happy. BM and MJ make sad songs sweet, while the happier tracks are worth ten Ovelas dancing to them. I don't have much to say about Kris Lawrence, unfortunately. His rendition is good; pitch-perfect, yes. But I would probably be more amazed if I didn't know at least 10 more people in PH who can sing this song well, too. Love love LOVE hearing your feedback about our singers & artists, though. M-Angel's insights are particularly sharp and helpful. 💟👍
