About Krishna Das:
Layering traditional Hindu kirtan with instantly accessible melodies and modern instrumentation, Grammy nominee, Krishna Das has been called yoga’s “rock star.” With a remarkably soulful voice that touches the deepest chord in even the most casual listener, Krishna Das - known to friends, family, and fans as simply KD - has taken the call-and-response chanting out of yoga centers and into concert halls, becoming a worldwide icon and the best-selling chant artist of all time. His album ‘Live Ananda’ (released January 2012) was nominated for a Grammy in the Best New Age album category.
KD spent the late ’60s traveling across the country as a student of Ram Dass, and in August 1970, he finally made the journey to India, which led him to Ram Dass’ own beloved guru, Neem Karoli Baba, known to most as Maharaj-ji.
Krishna Das now travels the world sharing his kirtan practice and wonderful stories of his life, of Maharaji-ji, of his life on the Path and discusses bringing chanting into our lives through retreats and workshops. I have had terrible pain in my knee, that then transferred to my whole leg it was so severe. I just took pain killers, put patches on my knee and rested. But yesterday it was so bad, I could not even bend either of my knees. It had got so had. Towards mid day today, i started saying the name of Neem Karoli Baba inside of me, as a meditation. Suddenly, tears came to my eyes as this incredible love filled my heart. It was amazing. Suddenly the pain left both my knees that chronic unbearable pain, and I can walk without limping. It is overwhelming the difference between today and yesterday. I cannot believe what has happened. It is truly a miracle, because I was in so much pain for three weeks. I was so worried I would never be able to walk properly again due to the arthritis that got worse and worse after I broke my femur., My son had to order a wheel chair to get me around. I still have a light pain in my right knee, very, very light, but I can sit down without terrible pain, and walk again. I am so grateful to Baba, he is a true miracle worker. I adore him. And I am his for eternity.

21) At the door of Ram, you are the guardsman, no one can enter without your permission. 22) All joy is gained by those in your shelter. What is there to fear when you are protector? 23) Such is your power only you can handle, hearing your roar the three worlds tremble. 24) Ghosts & evil spirits can never come near, to one who repeats the name of Mahavir. 25) All illness is dispelled, and suffering is gone, by constant repetition of thy name, Hanuman. 26) By Hanuman’s grace from all troubles freed, for those who remember you in thought, word, and deed. 27) Greatest of all is Ascetic King Ram. All of whose works you have easily done. 28) Whoever comes to you with any desire, receives the highest fruit of eternal nectar. 29) In all four ages your glory is sung. Your fame enlightens the whole of creation. 30) For Saints and Sages, you are protector, beloved of Ram, demon’s destroyer. 31) You can bestow all perfections and power. Bestow thy grace as does the Guru. 38) For those who sing this, one hundred times, all bonds are broken, the highest joy they find. 39) For those who read the Hanuman Chalisa, perfection is attained, the witness is Shiva. 40) Tulsidas, eternal servant of the Lord, prays, “Please make my heart, O Lord, into thy abode.” Son of the Wind God, dispeller of distress, most auspicious in form, with Sita, Ram, and Lakshman, please make my heart into your home.

How can a poet ever hope to describe you? 16) Doing for Sugriva a very great thing, you brought Ram to him who made him a king.
