I have the same Vector, gen 2, that l bought in 2018, 9mm. Put about 1000 rounds through it. Then suddenly this past weekend at the range, after 5 rounds out of a factory glock magazine it stopped firing! Pieces of the frame around the trigger were falling off. I could not even separate the lower from the upper. When l got home l was able to pry the upper and lower apart and notice the metal frame the bolt rides near the trigger was cracked on both sides! I initially thought the barrel was obstructed but it was clear. Just reached out to Kriss via email and hopefully they can make this right! Very frustrated and disappointed that this high dollar firearm had this catastrophic failure. Its is a jam o matic also! Don't know if you have that same issue. Looks cool though.
It’s just a plastic cover, has no function other than aesthetic covering and anchors the charging handle spring and safety/mag insertion. I changed out many for different colors. Mark there will not hurt anything other than being annoying.
In the 4 years I’ve owned one of these I’ve had the charging handle snap in half twice. After this last time I said screw it and bought a CNC steel charging handle that’s more solid and so far it feels so much better.
Hey I was looking at one of these at the store and the guy was saying he didn't recommend it because it was so hard to rack it. he tried and could get it back all the way, and he let me try and neither could I. are these more stiff and harder to pull back when brand new? The videos I've seen don't really show anyone struggling as much as we were and I just didn't think it felt right at all. But that was also my first time holding one so I'm by no means an expert..😅
