*Disclaimer since this set is getting a lot of new viewers lately:
This was my second time performing live and my first time playing for one hour. I filmed it to document my progress and appreciate a bit of kindness as my sets have greatly improved since this one.

@@kristabourgeois Did you start out like this? Or were you preparing more in the earlier days? I'm currently trying to get away from that, and do more spontaneous stuff, but at least right now, I'm having a hard time with that. I probably need more muscle memory.

Holy crap! This is awesome! But I have no idea what she is doing. Can someone please give me a super brief explanation? Is it all live, are there some tracks (like a DJ), is some of it programmed in a computer? I want to learn how to do this (I’m a drummer/DJ). Amazing and inspirational!

Thank you so much for the kind words! I’m happy to explain what I’m doing in these sets 😊 I don’t play any tracks like a DJ but I do prepare one shots of my previously produced tracks on my computer that I can trigger live to essentially remix my own tracks and combine it with live elements from the modular synth. So everything is being done in real time, but some of the sounds were made ahead of time by me in Ableton. I hope that answers your question!

@@kristabourgeois When you say "live elements from the modular synth", just wondering how you are doing this? Seems you are playing/triggering modular synth parts with the Octatrack maybe? Great music by the way, I don't listen to industrial very often but I love this. It's very easy on my ears, which says a lot about your production and mixing skills.

This is what Darckcore used to sound 10-12 years ago, with the difference that this is only the good parts. There's heavy meat after each kick, and no cringe breaks or hooks. I love it, It's unapologetic, it just keeps on going, and if you get bored with a segment.... don't stick around, it's not for you

It's an Elektron Octratrack. Now she is using a Squarp Hapax. I recently got the Hapax myself for sequencing. Still learning it.

@@ricardopineda8224I would say the Octratrack is way harder to learn. I've never owned one but general consensus is that it's extremely deep. It can do alot of stuff. Sequencing, sampling, mixing, looping etc.

It sometimes replaces the sound strata with one another. Its very much generated by the person, but nevertheless its unique and no redundancy at all. Amazing performance.

Dope sounds! If you don't mind, where are those cases from, and what's the HP per row? I've got one of the 126 HP MDLR cases; 4 rows + 2x 1U and it's pretty heavy when fully packed up into a case. This one looks much bigger.

This is beautiful on sooo many levels! Always interesting to see how different artists use their Octatrack. It's literally never the same, ever, because that thing is just so versatile, with endless possibilities to make, bend, warp, distort [, ...] sound. Amazing device and a great performance. Oh, I just left the like #666 😈😇
