Kristi Emmons Jones, the daughter of Elvis's first girlfriend- DIXIE LOCKE - joins to chat about her mom's life and the book they wrote together, UNLOCKED!
We were so honored to speak with Kristi. We had such a FABULOUS evening talking with her about her mom and their book that we ended up talking for two hours. This is a long episode, but these stories she shares are absolutely priceless. Just amazing❤ As an european who was just 4 years old in 77, and never have read any books about Elvis, I am blown away of all the beautiful story's I find on RU-vid. The Elvis movie was what made me start to dive into his life. I have realised more and more what a truly special person he was, and also how misunderstood he is by many people. Thank you for the good work you are doing 🤗 I'm saving the links to interviews like this. One other Elvis fan channel I have found that is doing a great job is called Elvis Lass. There is so much negativity and misconception going on now, people need to hear about the real Elvis. Hugs from Norway 🤗

I just love Dixie and can't wait to hear this interview. I've read her book. What I find fascinating is that Elvis saved Dixie's love letters. He obviously revered them. You would think after so much time and fame maybe he would have gotten rid of them. That speaks volumes in my opinion. I still have all the love letters and cards from my first love also.

I’ve watched this interview 3x now, there is just something so so wonderful about listening to you girls, thank you so so much for this. Elvis really had the most amazing life and group of wonderful people surrounding him. The one thing that the movie got wrong is the amount of love he had in his life. He truly had wonderful friends, family and loved ones!!! Such a gift! Thank you for sharing all these wonderful people with us! Their stories mean so much and I can just listen to them all day and not tire of it ❤

Great interview! I love hearing Kristi talk about her mom. Just one thing, a lot of people get confused between Elvis's senior prom and Dixie's junior prom. Elvis' prom was at the Peabody when he took Regis Wilson, but Dixie's prom two years later was at the Hotel Claridge in Memphis. Dixie said that in her book. I did a review of the book when it first came out back in 2021 on my website. Keep up the good work, girls!

Enjoyed the interview. The only thing I heard that wasn't correct is that her mom told Elvis that he needed to take time from touring to grieve. But Elvis was in the Army when Gladys passed he wasn't touring.
