I find it less itchy than when you shave. You get horrible ingrown hairs, plus your hair just grows back thicker and longer. While waxing actually thins your hair over time and depending on the person sometimes hair just stops growing at all. 😊😬
As an esthetician, I have to recommend hard wax for bikini waxing. Coarser hair in sensitive areas works better and doesn't require strips. Sugaring is the best, because you can get even little short hair with it, but sugaring is tricky.
@@TheNormalOddball the plucking to get under the lip of wax to rip it off when they use hard wax. With the strip there isnt the need to get under the lip because you already have a grip on the strip.
Seneca: I know what you mean about the plucking to get a grip on the hard wax. I suppose it depends on which wax is being used, because some hurt more than others. Hard wax is trickier, but it's more reliable than soft in delicate areas, which is where I'm coming from. Sugaring is still the best. And it hurts the least.
I'm 31 and single, haven't slept with anyone for a year and a half, but I like to shave every now and then for my own comfort and enjoyment. If I could afford to, I would get waxes as often as necessary.
Just for reference, you do not open the vagina. There is no wax going onto any parts of the vagina, just the labia majora, and the outside of that. Just so you know
But soft wax can leave sticky residue and it adheres to the skin as well as the hair, where as soft wax sticks to both. That part of the body the skin is more sensitive and when pulling can be more painful when using soft wax! Strange that anyone would want something more sticky, soft wax is for hair that doesn't want to come out and is more stubborn like hair on the leg or arm.
@@user-og9zo9hz7j Its surprisingly hardly painful at all. Less painful than an eyebrow wax. I would rate it a 3 out of 10 on the pain scale with 10 being the most painful and 1 being least painful. Your hair free experience will last 2-3 times longer with waxing, just make sure to exfoliate your arm pits at least once a week in the shower after waxing to help avoid any ingrown hairs. If you are very prone to ingrown hairs, I would recommend using any "razor bumb" prevention product as well as weekly exfoliation. These products are widely available to anyone at places like Wal-Mart, target, and CVS.
@@user-og9zo9hz7j personally for me I like using hard wax on armpit hair. The skin under your arms are thin and sensitive like around your private area. I used to shave and have done so for years and now I have dark and bumpy underarms from the skin trauma. I have a mix of thick and thin hair growing, but again everyone is different in there preference of hair removal. I’m just speaking on my behalf.
You should've asked the waxers more questions for information and about their personal experiences. For example, what are the different types of waxes, how they got into the job, how did they learn it, what was their worst experience, did a customer ever start their period during a waxing session, do customers need to do something beforehand in preparation, how to deal with ingrown hairs, etc.
Imagine someone was getting waxed and was too nervous and shocked they peed on them 🙉 I'm sorry I got bored I wanted to know how they are okay with seeing stranger's vagina's...
SiSi Pierce it’s a job it’s not about friends they are just words they use to make everything sound pleasant but it’s only a paid job that’s why they are doing it
Devin, girl I'm with you. It was the most pain I think I had ever been in & afterwards I could barely walk. It was tender for days so I couldn't even enjoy it, & the hairs grew back within a week. Never again!
A WEEK?? Wow. I thought it was supposed to last several weeks. Just another reason I will never ever ever have my lady garden peeled off. We have hair for a reason...removing it, especially all of it, just increases your risk of infections and chafing and general discomfort. No thanks.
@@MrsBrit1 Right?! It does increase likelyhood of infections. I already have enough to deal with as a woman. Also, if women's partners expect this of them, I fully expect that they will be willing to do it too. 😈😏
@@ludovicapiccinini9532 Yeah, the stubble started to grow back the week after. Even if it did last at least 2 weeks without stubble, still not worth the pain for me. It was exactly how Devin described it for me. 😂😭 Maybe my skin is more sensitive or something. Still, not worth it. 🙈😌
Lol. I just trim my hair. Of course I'll wax my eyebrows and upper lip, and ill pluck out hairs in my underarms but i feel like its just...okay and natural to leave the hair alone down there.
Kristen: ok, I did not ask you! Devin: I’m not lying! Me: omfg do Kristen and Devin have beef?! Kristen: I’m on my period Me: that explains everything!
LOVES them..No- I have SUPEr sensitive skin..No way..and also I don't want strangers in my hoo ha- Being at pregnant doctors..it's like everyone sees it- which to me is ridiculous and uncomfortable..And I am over it. No thank you to the bikini wax.
Me, neither. I don't care about gyno visits, but this is just a no from me. I got my eyebrows waxed once...and once was enough. 14 years later and my skin is still damaged from that lovely experience. Super sensitive skin, I guess....I will pass on having rough, dry, scaly crotch skin. 😂
I have never been waxed down there, but I have shaved, and from that experience, I can say that I prefer not to do that. But in all honesty, I really don't do anything with my pubes, but I suppose a little grooming here and there wouldn't hurt. Who else is comfortable with their pubes?
sluggykitty I’m good with the hair down there, but it’s really corse so if it gets too long it makes the skin around it itch. So I try to keep it maintained.
I'm good with the hair down there, I don't get the obsession society has with removing it (especially removing it from women). When I feel it's too long I use a razor comb to give it a trim and use a scissors around other parts that require more finesse haha. Tip for the razor comb when trimming - after a shower is the easiest and doesn't pull the hair as much.
I like getting my 😺 waxed, Every three weeks I get a Brazilian. It was terrifying at first and very uncomfortable, but its not so bad anymore.. with the right waxer it should be fine. My waxer makes conversation and talks a whole lot and we laugh a lot so that helps.
Peculiar Pineapple Removes most of the dead skin and build up. To me its worth it, I can wear a bikini without worrying about anything and I just prefer no hair
I will confirm, it's EXTREMELY intimate. But if you find you a pro who you like, then it's really honestly lovely. I actually love my waxes because she's an angel and I love talking to her, and she's good at her job. It's just a fun choice that some like, some don't!
My lady garden is quite happy being trimmed by its old friend, Gilette Venus embrace, you can keep the molten lava and tissue paper God, i thank you. Good day.😂😂😂
Same. I was contemplating getting a bikini wax yesterday when I was getting my arms and legs waxed. But I really couldn't go through with it. I don't think the pain is worth it
@@hailybywater7839 yeah not into being spread eagle on a table while someone stares at my private boudoir, i barely want to look at it let alone someone else 😂😂😂
@@may.k_me the pain is not worth it trust me i did it myself and followed how to do it properly like they do in the salons and beauty places and it took a layer of my skin off, was painful for weeks stick to the razor lol 😂
Maymuna Kabir it’s not that painful to me, really depends on the person. When she pulled that strip I was like oh... was that it? And I was sooooo nervous at first
Cleaning the edge of the plate before serving up to guests made me howl with laughter and I also love what she said about the inside of the book cover just so funny!!
