Wauw people really are protecting her imagine putting a record above a human life. There was plenty to do for the man to rescue him and for the people who say it wasn’t sure if he would make it….. if there is a chance you should try whatever possible. Imagine having your friends and family waiting for you and they hear you died imagine how their lives have dramatically changed because people didn’t wanted to help. But congrats on your record you really are special human being and will be on the record books and will be known as the lady who is willing to go over dead bodies to reach the goal.

To all of the self righteous people in the comments. This is the way it has always been. Even the most experienced climbers die on this mountain. What was she supposed to do for a dying man? Strap him on her back and carry him down? What would you have done? One in four people die on this mountain. Everyone knows the risks. He wasn’t skilled enough to be doing this. Of course they climbed over him. There’s no where else for them to go but over him. It’s sad that he died but you can’t blame the survivors. Scaling this mountain is a real life survivor situation. Some survive, some don’t.

People should just give Kristin a break... Surely.. Just give up! it's not her fault, when you hear K2 is a savage mountain now you know! It was not Kristin's and her team's responsibility.... The porter knew the risk and how about blame the company he was working for... How about that! The people talking shit about Kristin were relaxing in their houses watching Netflix Really!

Kristin, congratulations with your achievement. I must say I am appalled by the lack of compassion in all the comments of the haters and nay-sayers who accuse you of just that. But from what I have been able to read about the tragic events that happened on the mountain, I feel that you and your team did what they could do under the circumstances.

Kristin I am genuinely appalled by your actions. You’re a good mountaineer no doubt about that but a terrible human being. How on earth can you possibly leave behind a dying human being in pursuit of summiting a mountain that NO ONE actually cares about. The Right thing to do was help that gentleman and i don’t mean giving him oxygen or anything of that sort but actually attempt to get him down! You had a whole team with you, you had the manpower, the extra oxygen bottles and the experience. Let’s say instead of Hassan it was Lama that had collapsed. Would you have still went through? Abandoned him to die? I don’t think so. I am so terribly disappointed right now. You make me lose faith in humanity. 1 human life is worth 10000 summits.
