One of the best tenor of our time. I had the privilege to met him in Las Palmas one moth ago and take a picture with him. He sang the opera Fedora, such a great performance. He is also a very nice guy

Hearing these two extraordinary talents singing together gives me all the feels. They are exceptional and complement each other so beautifully.

I just had to come back and listen to this glorious duet again! A Tenor with movie-star looks and a big, full voice reminiscent of great Tenors of the past like Mario del Monaco, among a few select others. And never let Conductors or whoever tell you not to use your “full voice “, as was the ‘urban legend’ treatment supposedly given to Jerry Hadley. ( Incidentally, when I was studying Music in College from 1977-81, a Mezzo a year older that myself went to the Metropolitan Opera Regional Council auditions in Roanoke, VA-mainland just for the experience, as she was probably only 20. She said that “A voice reaction from “Virginia Tech” ( university) was selected.” And I’m thinking that person was Jerry Hadley… You definitely have a promising and rewarding career ahead of you. I eagerly await to her you in “Turandot”! Best wishes.

Opolais is really lovely, but he is the real deal! A stunning voice and smashing good looks. I just hope he doesn’t burn himself out by singing Otello and Wagner too soon

Ich liebe dieses unglaublich wunderbare Timbre dieses Tenors , und er darf das c singen, was manche Dirigenten abrupt verbieten!!!!!!!!! Vor vielen, vielen Jahren...ja, ich erinnere diesen Saal! Und dann zum Ende, das oftmals von Dirigenten verbotene, weil Puccini nicht ... gemeinsam (!!!) gesungene hohe "c" !!!!

I was thrilled up until the final line. Why can’t tenors resist the cheap temptation to sing the soprano’s high-C? The tenor should sing the E, as Puccini wrote it. The composer knew best.
