Amazing Cover. I loved that you guys added original lyrics in Ukranian, it really sets this timeless classic in a completely different light. I also really loved the arrangments from 5:40 to 6:44 that part blends so well with the original riffs written by Varg. The vocals sound like desolation and rage at the same time. Incredible. I always say "don't touch a classic unless you can really master it", and you guys surely did
Dont know how, but these Ukrainian bands Kroda, Nokturnal Mortum and Khors really know how to play black metal correctly. Very nice and decent cover of Burzum song.
@Mighty Triballian They both seem nice. I'd say Russian BM is a bit more interesting, except Drudkh and Hate Forest. M8L8TH, Vargleide, Forest, Walknut, Temnozor. They've grown less active lately though, but at least M8L8TH is doing good organisational work.
I agree, I feel like this cover lost a hell of a lot of the energy that was present in the burzum version. The drums also sounded flat. I don't know much about music but I respect their way of playing I guess
do you have any idea how varg recorded this song? if you do then you know that nobody can achieve the sound and darkness that he put in this song. and besides you will never get the dark sound live. no band can do that.
Maybe if you use the old shitty equipment they had in the early 90s you can achieve the sound . But possibly you also need the mindset they had back then before things got professional and some of them took seriously their beliefs ..Like Dead or Varg for example
Decent cover but, still prefer the old screechy recorded in pits of hell original version..... The riffs just goes straight in your heart when you listen to the original.
