When I first heard Krokus, I was convinced they were gonna be the next biggest thing. I don't know what happened... they were a freekin awesome band. Same with Fastway.
@Tony From Syracuse I agree, Screaming in the Night was real and tough and mean, and this was just kid stuff fun, waited for the next release (on the radio) to be more hard core, but it never arrived and away they went.
They played in Dortmund 1983 just like it passed yesterday so many bands in this rock concert...Ozzy...Michael Schenker group...Iron Maiden ...Def Leppard..Judas Priest...Scorpions..Quiet Riot...Krokus....it was a nice time to remember in rock history
I heard this song years ago & thought that Krokus originally did it, then I found out about a band called Sweet & damn, just damn. Sweet is one of the absolute best bands of all time!!!!
Happy you found them:) Sweet influenced many bands from Def Leppard to Motley and so many bands in between. Love these covers and all the new fans it brings to the Sweet table:)
I saw them on that same tour, amigo, at the old Charlotte Coliseum. Man, what a night. Krokus rocked. And I remember Rob Halford riding a Harley on the stage. It doesn't get much better than that!
This is a great song (among many). Marc Storace's voice matured in Krokus and his talent is legendary...you can hear the foundation and potential in his early work with Tea (including ballads)...can't help but love this band!
My 14 & 8 yr old sons are big Krokus fans, cuz their dad LOVES Krokus! haha Just saw them in Vegas Tuesday. Badass show!! I'm a bigger fan after seeing them live.

I saw krokus with Dokken at the eagles ballroom in Milwaukee sometime in the 80s. Both were awesome live, as I recall. I love the original of this song, but I think krokus did a great job with it. I am surprised krokus didn't make it bigger and last longer than they did. They were a great band
Awesome sound in the 1980’s. But surprisingly they still do rock shows (outside the United States) and still sound amazingly great for a band 40 years older than when they were in their prime. Look up “Screaming in the night -live) 2023.
Every time I hear this song it takes me back to my childhood and a gymnasium dance that I used to get to attend with the older kids. Thank you for rocking my childhood!!!

first time heard Krokus..was in 85 I was living in Northern Ontario I was 12 ....I found a tape of The Blitz...I played it over and over good thing my Walkman and reverse play
saw the "Swiss Bliz" live at Newport Music Hall in C-bus Ohio on High Street back in the day. 1984 Marc Storace was The Voice (although none could match vocal chords with the late Ronnie James Dio). Fernando Von Arb was their lead "shredder". Me and my mate were chatting up a pair of hot chicks in skin tight leather dresses at the bar and Fernando made his entrance into the club - bought the four of us a round of drinks on his tab. We were planned to hook up with those chicks at an I-hop after the show but were too wasted to find our car quickly and missed out - true story of my life.
Two words: "Problem Child". Remember? I remember that little bastard running around trashing that birthday party while poor ol' 'mom' just cried! Priceless! Always loved Krokus and the first concert I ever saw. Bad ass!!
The best thing about this song is that it was recorded in a single take in the studio. Not the normal hundreds, cut and spliced together. Says so right on the album cover.

It only took me … years to piece it all together, lol. This being the remake of "Sweets/Ballroom Blitz"...however I owned this album/song(bad version)before I tracked down the original version of Ballroom Blitz by Sweet...Sweet, wow how they lead the rock world in remakes of their songs.

I'm pretty sure it was the band who chose Axl and not "the music industry." Why not Storace? Who knows? Not available, not interested; coulda been a lot of things. I dunno; is he even still active today?

Kind of hard to do when your names don't match up. Funny thing, these guys at my school had a band.. Two of them were Randy and Mike. Always wanted to sing this one with em.
Few days before AC/DC starting to record Back In Black: "Mr. Storace, would you like to begin the new AC/DC singer?" "You must be jokin' mate, I'll be rich and famous very soon with Krokus!". The best deal all time.
That story isn't actually true though. Storace made it up. He always had an obsession with AC/DC but AC/DC hated him because he said he did AC/DC better than AC/DC. Storace has a well known reputation for being a douchebag but back in the 80s it was even worse because of his cocaine use.
@@mattr27 Are you on crack? This version isn't just slower, the lead singer also lowered the notes and has nowhere near the energy of the original. The sweet rocked it harder by far.
