I lost my passport, credit card and about ¥50k when I went to Japan, and the driver was able to get it all back to me within an hour. Super nice, but I've learned my lesson to keep all that important stuff as attached to me as possible
Pffft. Start count: 1. Get a an exotic disease 2. Be driven to unknown place cause you spell it wrong 3. Get wrong bus and be driven to completely unknown place 4. Your lad lost all your traveling money on gambling 5. Your booking got flooded out by typhoon, and now you live on a beach
7:58 this is why it's important to bring a powerbank. It doesn't need to be anything fancy or have a huge capacity, as long as you can charge your phone in an emergency. It has come in very handy a few times for me already, and especially if you're on-the-go a lot, their usefulness cannot be understated.
Definitely need to carry one or two extra external battery packs when traveling, ESPECIALLY if you're going to be using your phone a lot. It will save you a lot of hassle, headaches and confusion if you at least have some means of mobile charging.
I remember my phone running out of batteries around 8pm in my first week in japan. I was in my way home but my phone suddenly lost power and i had to find my way back on foot by myself. I got lost and it took my 2 hrs to get back but i found a lot of cool things while i was getting lost. I remember finding a temple that was lit up with these lamps on the ground and it looked straight out of a video game boss fight arena. I dunno how i found my way back, but i did and my only regret is not having a power bank to take pictures of the cool places i got lost in.
Kronii is a TROOPER! once I visited Egypt with a friend and we were hanging out at the mall with some people that my friend knew, but I made the mistake of walking a little too far from the group in the food court to get some ice cream. When I turned around everyone one had left without telling me. So here I am over 1,000 miles away from home with a low phone battery so I can’t call my friend or even use google translate for that matter. I was so lucky to find them again though but I can’t even imagine doing that alone without having someone at least in the same building looking for me knowing that I’m probably lost
oh my god, just hearing all those problems got me stressed already, that kind of things would be so fucking stressful enough in your own country, I can't imagine outside
losing your passport is the worst thing that can happen when you are traveling abroad. glad everything worked out. it would be a huge pain in the ass if it's actually lost.
RIP there is few places in Japan who has rent-a-powerbank buuuuuuuut it is finicky to setup a credit card that is not japanese in their app (used once when.. my powerbank was RIP)
I felt the same way when I lost my US passport coming to Canada one time. I forgot the darn thing in the seat compartment in the plane and of course they won't let me go back to the plane to get it. I was so stressed that I really couldnt sleep at all; all i could think of is im stuck in Canada and i overstayed my welcome and could be in trouble because I lost my passport.. I had to go to the embassy to request for emergency passport which at least im happy to get right before the day i had to fly back the the US from Canada so at least I can still legally fly back home.
Oh no... Lost passport? Huge problem. Just wish that a good guy found it or wish it was lost inside the house cuz if not, they'll sell it on the black market
losing that jerky was an ominous sign. for real though that's very scary to happen, especially if you were just excited to go so far, the only method i've had is wearing cargo pants and putting it in there with something else like a wallet
I always find it surprising when travelers don't carry a small power bank, especially people who carry a bag/purse or wear clothing with pockets. These days you can even get ones small enough to fit on a keychain. They're not enough to charge up your phone all the way, but can be a lifesaver when you _need_ directions or to get a ride.
The worst part about this imo is the one Lost and Found Key Person not coming in, what a terrible system, that key should be at the ready at all times. Glad it all worked out though!
My question is how in the hell does she keep losing stuff like these? XD Like Bruh, if I keep losing my passport I would have considered taping it on my crotch dude lmao
Like seriously how is she losing stuffs this much? Reminds me of one of my girl friends back then losing like 6 phones, 6! Like what was Kronii wearing Baggy, not-so-deep pockets, pants or smthing?
