Krydex Slick Plate Carrier Review 

How long have you had it? I just ordered a Krydex 6094 so I’m curious what to expect. I always hear of people putting this poor people gear down but never any substantiating reasons/evidence as to why it’s “bad”. I mean I get that it’s not going to last as long as an $850 carrier but from what I’ve seen from people who do have clones they last acceptably long for the price.

Yeah, I'm not ready to say this prime-time gear yet, BUT... like I mentioned in the video, if they step up their efforts just a tiny bit in some key areas, they could soon be real contenders on the market, much like Holosun has become.

Yep. Same here. Already got some material and velcro, sewing machine is all primed...just gotta find time to do it. I will probably make a video documenting my amateurish mis-haps along the way. haha

Elastic inserts - it's just a Spiritus ripoff after all. The set includes both a 3x M4 and 2x .308 insert

It is. There are some companies like Unobtanium Gear that make stiffened inserts to address that. I do not have one to test on this placard, so YMMV.

you could always buy Chinese inserts 😂

Perhaps he bought Large 11x14 plates? Or plates with excessive coating buildup? Given the relative thin-ness of AR500, I don't see why not - the lame little foam inserts these come with are 9.5" x 11.5" x 11/16th thick. If it's that or thinner it should fit. If your 10x12s are thicker than 11/16, not gonna happen. I tried these with a set of Hesco 3810's and I am going to have to sew a new flap for the bottom - they fit, but as they are a bit thicker than 11/16th, they take up enough extra space in the carrier where it needs a longer bottom retention flap to seal in correctly.
