This theme is almost an obsession -- people, in different places and for various reasons thinking about the same thing. I said that I was trying to talk about things that unite people. It's the case for this feeling and this music... All these notes exist scattered somewhere, waiting for the one who will assemble them, put them in order. The fact that different men, at different moments, at different places with a different social status, can assemble these notes in the same way is, to me, a sign of what unites all men."
