It’s actually more useful than you’d think. Air pods have an open back design so you can still hear what’s around you when you have them on. So he probably is listening to music. And I know you might be thinking “he can just listen to music on his headset”, but with airpods he can take off his headset to leave his room for the bathroom, kitchen, or anywhere and still be listening to music while also being able to hear everyone around him. Or also if he gets any calls or important texts, he’ll know. Everyone clowns on airpods until they actually experience life with them. Same thing with other small Bluetooth ear buds.

The only thing bad with airpods is the price, but there are much cheaper options out there
