A jury awarded three Kentucky State troopers nearly $1 million as part of a verdict in a whistleblower lawsuit.
The lawsuit, filed in December 2019, claims Sgts. Kevin Burton and Mike Garyantes and Lt. Frank Taylor told supervisors and a prosecutor that evidence was being taken from the Elizabethtown post property rooms and secure lots between July and November of this year for “personal gain” by two troopers.

Dishonesty and covering up dishonesty has no place in a good law enforcement organization. The officers stealing evidence and the supervisors who covered this up all have given the KSP a black eye by their corrupt actions.

That is a snake biting his own tail! The three troopers did what would be expected by an uninformed citizen! But from KSP brass? There are chain of command issues here! Nobody tells the truth unless the chief approves it!

Real accountability would involve criminal charges against the thief and loss of employment for everyone who turned a blind eye. Instead, the tax payers get victimized financially and the cops who allowed the theft get to move on with their lives like nothing happened.

Y'all took an oath to protect and serve. But stealing!. Only kids do that. Grown men stealing shoes. That's Petty stuff. Now there losing more than just the value of shoes.
