The oldest of my favorites is the 1983 logo with the water rectangle. It reminds me of the moving ocean picture X the owl showed on Mister Rogers' Neighborhood once. I also love the ones from 1988 and 1989, especially because of the music.
A little girl back from the 90s used to had a stuffed Babs Bunny from Tiny Toon Adventures at 6:16. I used to watch that show all the time when I was a little kid and it's more entertaining than Animaniacs but both shows had crossovers
Awesome ident history of Twin Cities Public Television, Jonty! Just like other PBS station idents like WGBH (or GBH) and WTTW, these idents from Twin Cities Public Television look very interesting indeed. The animation in most of these is really nice, even though they are simple, and the music is nice to listen to. Two favorite idents from TPT I would choose would be the 6th and 8th idents from KTCA. The animation is great for 1980s standards and the music is nice to listen to. Wow! What can I say about the TV station idents from America? They are pretty good and interesting!
Thanks, Man! I do agree with you on PBS stations being interesting. Speaking of WGBH and WTTW, I might do a logo history on them one day. Despite some of the animations being short and simple, the animation in most of the logos is brilliant, and the music is soothing. I also agree with you on the 6th and 8th logo. The 6th logo has great animation for 1983, and the 8th logo has brilliant CGI for 1988. No wonder the 8th was used all the way until 2000. Stay tuned for my take on ABC (Australia).
I started watching SciGirls on TV which is owned and produced by TPT (Twin Cities Public Television) Haim Saban and Deborah Forte created the #1 children's educational reality series and also did the music
I love the 1983 (very first one I ever saw in my lifetime), 1988, 1989 and 2000 logos. They all have great music and pretty animation. The one with Brian O'Connor from Shining Time Station briefly making an appearance was kind of a neat surprise.
there's been one thing on my mind ever since I first saw this video. does anyone know where the logo variant at 1:07 is from?! I've been curious about that ever since I first heard the person in the background yell "no!" -Sequoyah
