I just test rode this bike today.....bonkers!! I currently ride the S1000XR which is also great, but im really loving the GT and am now considering an trade in! great review guys

What kinda is holding me back is the horse power and the amount of torque this engine produces. Making me wonder if it really is such a great tour bike, and how good it handles in tight corners /slow speeds. Curious about that.
Just rode a SDGT today. Pretty sure I’m going to buy it. Can’t believe how smooth this bike is. So much power, but very manageable and smooth. Wonderful bike.
Fix the windshield so its better and more easily (one-handed while riding) adjusted. Add a quick detach top box with back pad. Offer larger capacity paniers ( Basically, everything my Multi GT has that this doesn't) and... I will buy one. 100%. They're so so close with this bike. It's a home run but my next bike needs to be a grand slam. I'd happily replace my Multistrada with this, but without the above additions, I'll have to just get a newer Multi.
This bike is truly amazing on the freeway, I can't believe how stable it is at 90-100mph. I know I should not be going that fast but it is never really addressed in the reviews. Yes it has power, corners really well etc. but this is a GT bike and I find that one of the most fatiguing things on a bike for travel is when it struggles at high speeds for long distance. This thing is remarkable!
Bike Worlds review of the 1290 Superduke R, which is pretty much the same bike, wasn't too good when it was compared to the MT-10, Speed Triple and S1000. This is a much better review. What changed your mind? I'm asking as a potential buyer for a GT
Love the concept of riding hard on a sport touring bike with all the 170hp + torque, but I am a little shy of all the potential-future-issues of dodgy electronics...
Why do you need a bike that will do 180 mph!!!! This will be the usual unreliable ktm, good job charlie and ewan had the beamers or that would have been an epic fail !!
I’d buy one tomorrow.......except in North Yorkshire there are camera vans hidden everywhere so I’ll stick with my GS 2012. I had an RC8R and would love a GT. North York’s Police - do you realise how you have effected the sale of bikes and sports cars ? Just so you can make a quick buck ? Bring back traffic cops instead of camera vans and get back to prosecuting inappropriate speeding instead of just speeding !
Contrary to the reply above, no they don’t. I have now clocked up 15,000km since early January.. it is brilliant, cruise with a pillion one day, hammer the twisting the next. Commute, clock up 1000km days or run it on the track. Done it all and loving it.
I did a review on this as well and posted it on my channel. Just loved the fun factor of this bike!! That V-Twin is just awesome!! I could certainly trade up for one of these!!
