At first i was looking BMW. Friends kept telling me to check out KTM. Ended up with 2015 690 Duke. Im glad i did. I didn't know i could have that much fun at 62.

i am sorry to say i am a huge KTM fun!The design mistake that happens to the new models is unbelivable... nothing can compare to all the models that have been out so far especially the duke 690 r 2011 (omg what a designnn) with what we see now... i hope people ther ein KTM understood what a big mistake has been done with this front mask design which is like a 5 year old kid design! Hope you change them soon so we will buy a new model With love to KTM from Greece!!!!

Love the Duke but wish you guys drew inspiration from the original headlight on the Duke III or the 1290 SuperDuke since they really stand out from the crowd.

Great bike. Big fun ! Just a shame my brand new 2013 Duke R stalls from time to time when I'm driving really slow. ( even with clutch fully pressed so it's not a gear changing problem ). My KTM dealer has not found the cause yet after 4 repairs... :( No idea what causes it. He said he would check the throttle potentiometer, and he adjusted 1 valve. But claims all computer diagnostics readings are OK. It certainly is worse when I'm on the 'race' mapping ( but I like that mapping most ). I have ordered an action cam to record these issues and then write a letter to KTM Belgium. ( dealer claims this is 'normal' for 1 cylinder engines , and he claims I should use 'race' mapping only on a race track , but that's no excuse. I've never seen a car stall because it's on 'sport' setting ) Stalling at traffic lights is potentially dangerous as well , I'm never relaxed now , always waiting for it to stall some time...

My Superduke 990 has really poor fuelling at low revs. I guess you've already adjusted the throttle...? I keep the revs slightly up at lights and it's fine.

Dawn Moon the problems actually something to do with the tps sensor i believe. sometimes my 690 would stall the moment i twist the throttle. theres something written on a forum about it. my dealer did correct this issue 11k miles and still has not happened on my 2014

Thanks for the reply. I have actually sold this bike to the dealer and did a trade-in for a new 1190 Adventure-R :) ( this bike has 10000 kms on it and hasn't caused any trouble , no oil usage , all is well :) )

Dawn Moon it’ll be a known fuel pump issue. Ktm uk head office service couldn’t sort mine after six weeks of avin it. Broke down again 20 miles down the road. Get a reliable make
