It reminds me of when Yamaha and KTM were doing engine development in Dakar. Eventually KTM had a winner with the LC4. I imagine some of that circuitry is carried over from that race engine.

I always put a small silver tarp down when I do my bikes or 4WD, it keeps the concrete spotless and is super easy to clean with a paper towel

Messing with the screens is pretty unnecessary on most of the oil changes once the bike has some hours on it
