Yes you are correct, KTM have decided to outsource production of this bike to China with CF moto. But KTM wouldn’t have taken this decision lightly. There is no doubt that KTM have thoroughly vetted the production processes, if the quality was anything less than 100% they wouldn’t include it in their model line up. On close inspection it is near impossible to which bikes are assembled in Austria or Asia. You still get the same quality components that you would expect on any other KTM model and still enjoy a 2 year manufacturer warranty. The benefit of outsourcing the production of this model, KTM are able to deliver a bike to market that is more affordable than the competition. In this financial climate, it’s making adventure biking more accessible. Nice change in a world where everything else is getting more expensive!

@@marshpowersports people talk about CFmoto like it is a garbage maker or something, just because it is Chinese!

As an Austrian (and previous KTM owner): I'm buying rather a KTM Made in China 😂

Android is NOT made in China, and that alone is worth paying for. I have NEVER owned an Apple product, and actively avoid Chinesium. The 890 was my choice.@@joaoroman9583

@ADVERRE why would I be envious? I have an 2023 890 adventure s in my garage, so I'm speaking from my own experience.

@@MentaL65535 890 adv s of 2023 are full adsjustable. Probably you have a 2021.

@ADVERRE please tell me how you adjust the preload on your forks, or the compression on your shock, but you can't because there is no adjustment for that on the 2023 S model. You are talking just to talk or are a troll.

@@MentaL65535 .the 890 ADV S 2023 (2023, 2023, 2023 2023...) has adjustment suspensions. The things are 2..or you have a 2022 (that with the anterior side fairing ugly) or you don t have a 890 ADV at all. Probably you are only a guy that read tecnich schede. Troll say to your mother

These are the major differences, the rest of the spec is almost identical. Even to ride they feel very similar. The price difference is due to the outsourcing of production and import taxes etc. In the UK it is a £2000 GBP difference between the models. The 790 adventure is very good value for the money.

Tyres are the same on both models, Pirelli scorpion rally’s.

just a slight variance in the mirrors they use, I actually prefer the standard mirrors on the 790. The round mirrors on 890 are probably one of the first things I’d change out, the powerparts ones are much nicer.

Standard 890 mirrors are not round. That's something someone has changed.

In the UK 94hp is the maximum a bike can make out of the factory in order to be eligible for restriction to the 47hp limit for an A2 licence.

So the 790 it is A2 compatible, that means the ECU can be mapped to either the full power 94hp or can be mapped to 47hp to be ridden on a A2 licence in the UK. When you purchase the bike the dealer can map the bike accordingly for you.

How hard is it just to get a full A licence? Why would you bother with a low-power model.@@darren-lewis

Ktm 790 2020 2022 (made in AUSTRIA, from the first M word in frame number..) weights 188kg dry and has totally others skills engine. Not only power, that is like 1000 cc bike, but from the torque, that is almost like a 1200cc of 2005. In sintesy has 1000 cc skills, with the weight and balanced, of a 450 super moto..to have the same kg, 1 at 30 cm from the ground, and the other at 120 cm from the ground, is not the same thing.

I've never heard of bikes having self-cancelling indicators.

@shhmule my bmw f800 gs from 12 years ago had self canceling turn lights after 200m of riding with them on, and also the ktm 1290 adventure has it, but not the 7xx and 8xx series...It's because the turn signals are basic ones, not integrated in the canbus system like on the bikes mentioned above...

790 has a bulket engine, with inertial plattform, abs cornering, TUBELESS and a power weight Ratio AMAZING. t 7 or transalp or tuareg have only 2 pistoncin breaks (like in 90 yrs), NO INERTIAL PLATTFORM, NO ABS CORNERING NO TUBELESS..KTM 790 EATS 1000 CC BIKES. Don t be SO ENVY assafwimmer. Are you an arab or albanian? Shut up
