That is gold fellas! Venturing where few dirt bikes would and on 1200's no less! Truly an inspiration to the rest of us when despite the challenges you still come up smiling! Thanks boys!!
douglas jeffers You buy an adv bike that suits you and you won't wipe the smile off you face. It's relatively inexpensive to get into the sport. You can start with a very capable Suzuki DR650.
me too but it was a tiger 800 xc , still saving l:) last thing i want is a bank loan hanging over my head wile out exploring for a few months up N/T W/A
Nice one guys, that was me wearing the 'santa red' outfit on the new Husky TE300. Thought you were nuts riding tanks up that hill but well done making it up & great video!
3:00 - Between a rock and a hard place! Man, those big bikes are a hand full on those rough trails. If I had a BMW, I think I'd stick with the Latte and avoid those particular trails. Maybe something a little more "rim friendly". Great footage!
Oh boy did I enjoy that video a lot. Thanks for that. You guys are not afraid of a little break-it-then-mend-it, I guess. I have a 2012 V-Strom 650, which is called an adventure bike, but it's really only a name and I would never dream of trying that course on it. Really enjoyed your video though. I'd like to try something like that, but on a 250cc off-road bike first for a week or..... six weeks, and then perhaps a 600/700 adventure bike. Thanks.
Good on ya you mad bastards.....bloody loved it! Made me laugh on a Sunday afternoon.....also loved seeing the bush where you guys are...I miss the bush of SE Australia....been up in the NT for a long time now!
would love to have any of those bikes but I am most jealous of how awesome the video quality is.Care to share what upload settings and camera you are using?
Great video guys and he lead y'all into the deep harsh terrain memento for smaller lighter bikes and then left what a guy he is but atleast y'all made it and had a good time n you picked up my sub too I love this kind of video especially since thats what I do and enjoy adventure riding
Where is this track? I'm looking at getting an Adventure bike soon and was wondering what the popular routes are for adventure riders. I ride past Kulnura to head to Wollombi & The Putty at least once a month and had no idea there were dirt tracks around that area, other than the unsealed road that leads to St Albans.
Weird, but looks like the barely 50/50 tires of the big bikes (Should be Metzeler karoo 3) worked really well in these conditions. Anyhow, was nice to see and hear some BMW "bashing" going on :D
i know the hill at 2:00 well. when i started riding i looked at it in fear and as unrideable. It's amazing how your perception changes as you get some experience under your belt.
It really is great and gives me 500 plus ks range. The 690 engine is ideal as an adventure bike. You can see how I can throw it around and then at the end of the day cruise down the highway at 120 ks plus.
CycleCruza me w my R1200GSA upon many times power lifting it. At 150lbs(me), I usually just let the other guys help now. I've proven it to myself that I can lift it. Lol ;)
On that! Never. However smaller adventure bikes are emerging that are a lot of fun. In Australia a company does an adventure build for a Yamaha 250 that looks neat. I hope to test it later in the year.
