KTM RC125 Review & Testride! 

Verevolf I don't suppose this offer on the ktm rc125 still is up and running is it????? In the U.K.??

Hi, yes and no, there are some good deals on nearly new 125's from KTM dealers, but all the new stock went by mid March

That deal is on again now and im hopefully getting it. There is also an option to get it with all the trimmings and stickers etc for £500 more at £3500 but think ill go with the stock version as the extras seem a bit of a gimmick.

I have a 17 plate RC125. I'm in the UK. The bike at brand new had flaws. 1. The console had condensation inside. 2. Paint job looked amazing but started to flake off. 3. The chain was very low quality. When I took delivery it was rusty and had kinks. 4. Battery cover came off and would not go back on. Really flimsy poor design. (I've heard this is a very common fault.) All these faults are obviously an easy remedy "under warranty." Unfortunately, KTM dealers were not contactable, once they had my cash in their account. It's a good bike, with some bad issues. Most of the problem being with KTMs "after service."

+Pablo Daniel Mejía Flores From some people i know who have it, and one who had it and got rid of it to get a Daelim... please, do yourself a favor, and buy a Daelim Daystar instead. Not much price difference, but a world of difference in reliability.

Pablo Daniel Mejía Flores Well, that sucks, it's a lot of bike for the money. Have you thought about second hand? Something like a Kawasaki Intruder 125? Yamaha Virago 125? A quality 125 custom bike like those should't need much repair, if any, and those models have rock-solid engines. Anyway, just make sure of exhausting other options before buying a Keeway! I know of some people who are more or less happy with it, but it's a lot of work to keep them running.

No not a bike for you my friend if you want a really great bike for beginning I would say ktm superduke for you then get a super olé get riding experience first

+Bikenization he talked about that a while ago, if you want to use it in your routine, the Duke 125 is better because has a better seat and the ride position very relaxed, otherwise if you want have fun doing corners the RC 125 is better. and i thinks it is more beautifull than the duke.

mark hill oh yes pocket rockets are so much fun! Especially when you do have a full license and can ride bigger bikes too...I bought the RC 200 and love it, even tho I have a litre bike :)

He's talking about street legal 125. I don't know how it is in other countries but in germany there are different motorcycle licences. If you're 16 you can do the A1 license with which you can drive motorcycles up to 15 hp and 125 ccm.

Yes but you forgot to mention that you can't get parts for mitos anymore and the reliability is absolutely shocking

@@CagerOnTwoWheels Yes sure. The good old days of screamer 2 strokes. Loved it. It's funny, in my country, the beginner license is limited to 125cc, not horsepower at all.

They change piston after every race because they are just flatout on those bikes , you are not gona go 150-170kmh in city now will you .

easier and cheaper to fix , also I have 79' tomos 50cc moped and didnt have any problems with it .

Dude, the Aprilia has 23 hp, and it does not reach the 200kmh unless you modify the sprockets, front and back. Still, its a really fast 125, too bad it's not legal to ride it with the A1 license in most part of europe

with tunign it is register a2 and have tested on dyno and it told back tire 28bhp

Rave powervalve installed, 34mm dellorto vhsb carb, v-force 3 and an aftermarket exhaust and you easily get over 30hp if correctly set up. For even more horsepower you can install a 140cc of 154cc cylinder. I have an aprilia sx 125 (same engine as rs 125) and I can confidently say that I have about 30hp.
