Ever wondered what happens to your waste and recycling after the garbage truck comes? Learn about the waste and recycling services provided in Ku-ring-gai and what steps you can take to reduce your impact on the environment.
Thanks - this is brilliant for clearing up many myths and confusion about recycling and waste. Even though I'm very diligent with recycling, I learned about things I was doing wrong, like not removing the lids from milk bottles. I hope lots more people watch this all the way through.
How recycling should be done! This way not comingale/mixed like other most councils! I find it interesting Ku ring gai has 360l for organics due to it being a heavy bushy area with big gardens. When's Ku ring gai going Fogo? All Fogo is its is food waste in the same garden organics bin together and collected weekly! I heard they changed the organics bins to weekly so all they need to do is just add food waste to them! And there you go food organics garden organics in the 360l bins! One garbage, streamlined recycling with separate yellow and blue bins and Fogo all together is personally how I think all council bin collections services should be! Recycle more waste less!
At 11:05 the man at the landfill picks up a bio-insert which has come out of a green waste bin. Bio inserts are used in councils such as Canada Bay council. Ku-Ring-Gai probably saw a lot of lids here when the Rapid Rail bins were still used.
