wow foods galore at this grand millennium hotel..this got to be most delicious foods i seen at any top level hotel so far.. im sure this was best foods you eater rgt.especially at a hotel in asia rgt..
We really loved this hotel and both their Christmas and New Years Banquets when we stayed there on this occasion. We must however say that the year after when we returned (for our third long stay) we were very disappointed with the hotel as we felt that the standard had fallen throughout the hotel, we do know that management had changed. Unfortunately as a result we will not return for another stay (This is just our opinion based on our experience). Enjoy the rest of your weekend! :-D
HeHe, it was an amazing Buffet! The Mill Cafe staff at the Grand Millennium truly went all in to give all guests a truly amazing evening, both on New Years Eve and Christmas Eve! We will be back........ ;-)
@@TravellerYT great that's good news to hear my mom once stayed there she told me it better then other hotels , but my favourite hotel is still hotel istana in kl cause i wanted to buy a big round cookie but they didn't have any cash in the cash tilled so guess what i got it F.O.C the staff there were helpful kind polite & friendly as well when i was along in a dark alley running across the road they even ask me if anything was alright so i told them someone was following me back but when i ran across the road towards the hotel he ran away i will not forget the staff there who were very helpful cause stupid me my mom told me not to bring/wear branded goods to kl i should have listen to her i was with my mom's uncle they were at the shopping mall as i wasn't feeling too well as i ate too much and i had to rush back to the hotel i've learnt my lession will never do it ever again omg it was very scary .

What a spread you both had in KL to welcome the new year! I hope you both enjoyed every single minute of your stay in KL. Next time you come to KL, do check out AirAsia’s Santan and T&CO Restaurant at Mid Valley Megamall- the food is very tasty and delicious. The restaurant also serves up meals that are sold onboard.
This New Year Dinner was filmed in 2018. Unfortunately the quality of the experience at this hotel was far below the standard we have enjoyed on our passed two visits. You can read in the Description under this video our thoughts about it. We will unfortunately not be staying at this hotel again as we were very disappointing on our recent stay. However, we will definitely be back in lovely Kuala Lumpur! Looked a wonderful spread as we say here . Mags doesn’t like seafood where as I love it . Mussels in garlic and white wine is my downfall . I could sit their with a bucket of them on my own and be in heaven . One More day and a nice relaxing weekend . Hope you have a nice weekend 👍

I (Maxi) love shellfish but must say I am not a fish fan. Mussels in a Creamy white wine garlic sauce cannot be beaten, such a delicious food !!! Dave regarding my (Maxi) shirt , don´t worry about me spilling - Maro was continuously telling, me not to spill throughout the evening HeHe, she had me fully covered... nag.. nag.. nag :-D This Buffet was beautiful and so was the entire evening. We have been to many New Years Eve parties but this has by far been the most Festive we have ever experienced due to the Restaurant Staff, the Food Prepared by the Chefs and Kitchen Assistants and the Beautiful Presentation and decoration of it all, 10 Points out of 10!! We have heard good things about food onboard Cruise Ships and at some time in the future we hope to try that form of travel too. We were planning on staying at the YMCA but it booked out and my parents are coming also so it ended up being the Mandarin Oriental for five nights and the Carlton Ritz for three nights over New Year. It would be fun to catch up some time seeing as you both go to Asia quite often. We're heading back to Thailand next year for hubby's 50th. Have a great weekend!
The Mandarin sounds fantastic, we also looked at that last time we were in Singapore, that could be a choice for next time or maybe the Shangri-La (if the price is reasonable). I know that Maxi did mention a place in one of the videos, but can't remember which hotel it was. I usually go on TripAdvisor, sort by 'Traveller Ranked', read the reviews, and decide from there, when planning a trip.
Hi there Douglas, we were not impressed with the standard compared to the two other lovely stays we have had at this hotel. There has been a management change since we were there last. We also choose our hotels based on TripAdvisor Review. We have only stayed at this hotel in KL, but we think that the ShangriLa may be good and we were seriously thinking about the Grand Hyatt. If we return to Kuala Lumpur we will be very interested to stay at the brand new Four Seasons Hotel if there prices are reasonable ;-) Hope this info helps :-D

@@TravellerYT I have done a cost comparison on the Shangri-La, Grand Hyatt and Four Seasons in KL. The Grand Hyatt is the best price, 2nd place is the Shangri-La and 3rd the Four Seasons, which is +/-50% more expensive. Of the 3, I would choose the Grand Hyatt, for overall good impression, not just price. DISCLAIMER: All rooms had club access, rates selected were personal preference (packages etc.), so your mileage may vary.
