#67. I am finishing the road to the log yard. This section needs quite a bit of work to make a half decent road out of it. A quick two hour project ends up taking most of the day. This also shows a very common use for this size tractor. You can get a lot of work done with a 5,000lb machine and 1,000lb's of lift capacity.

I’ve got a L3902 and 1100# lift capacity wasn’t quite enough…so I added a couple shims to the regulator and poof…1400# capacity! Much happier with. 300# more! Nice work on the driveway …sure does help when ya have the right tools.

I have an Ls Mt2 25e, the basic, shuttle shift model, 25 horsepower, and my lift capacity is 1600 pounds at the pins. I move full IBC totes of green oak around with it. That's near it's max though. 3 point lift is 1800 pounds. Kubota needs to step it up some.

Yeah those 01 series Kubotas were definitely lacking. I think the new 02 series are about 1500 lbs. I can’t budge full firewood totes

No way. My L2501 has the same lift and its definitely not enough. I'll be upgrading tractors sooner than later. L4802 or bigger.

It’s not enough for me either but only because I have the need to move firewood baskets, and logs. For landscaping purposes it’s just fine.

Holland spare parts has hydraulic top links for $250 at your door with hoses and fittings. this is a must for box blade work. nice siding, can you do a video on that?

That would be nice! If I get a set of rear remotes I would absolutely add the hydraulic top link. It’s a log house not siding. 12” tall log, flat on the inside with a chinking groove on the outside.

Nice video. I’d kill the music. People on your channel are interested in hearing the sound of the engine. If you want to kill dead time, consider a well-done time lapse.

I see a lot of people start their machinery and leave it to idle up to operating temperature thinking they are letting it ‘warm up’. BUT…90% of engine wear happens when the engine is below normal operating temperature.. So this practice is a malpractice.

I had to read your comment a few times and came to the conclusion that you contradicted yourself.

@@1jw298 how so? What it means is that starting your machine and letting it idle up to temp increases the time spent below operating temperature thus increasing engine wear.

@@J..O..D hahah you've got to be trolling. Even the manual says to warm up for at least 10 minutes when ambient temperature is above 32F.
